How my social media identity has changes? Have I become one of those super moms sharing every single smile and milestone of her baby? Looking at my instagram feed, it seems that I did turn into this stereotypical mom. But do I feel that?

As I am looking thorough social media profiles of other moms and other families I envy them. It seems that they figured it out. However, it is just a filter, a myth of a happy, busy and creative mom. I actually miss reality in this motherhood feed.

It just came into my mind, I would like to do a research about mother identity on social media. How they communicate, what sort of picture of their life they show and what is hidden in the patterns of those yellow wallpapers.  So this is there my academic interest comes into the picture. I would really like to link themes of motherhood, identity, feminism, psychology and communication. Maybe these keywords can also be a starting point for my future stories?

Recently Tully demystified motherhood.  She showed our daily routine without any filters, without flat tummies, without so called “Stepford wifes” idyll. But Tully is not he only one. There are more mothers who are not afraid to tell the real truth. They show behind the scenes of breastfeeding, nappy rash, toddler tantrums and etc. We all see those mother on a street on a bus, we see them trying to eat their lunch while at the same time looking after their children (who of course are eating everything they find on the ground). So this is what I would like to write about. 

But until such story, this is just a glimpse how my Instagram identity have changed.
