Carmen has a very small side business, it's an online etsy store, called Minnie's Bowtique where she sells small handmade hair accessories like bows. The funds go to charity. And it gives her an Etsy presence to buy knick knacks and Antiques that she can sell for the store, without having to do many scavenging shopping sprees.Ā
Minnie is both a stress baker and a stress cleaner. You can tell if there's something on her mind based on the lemony aroma of cleaning products or the amount of baked goods you find.Ā
She took both singing and dancing classes throughout school and majored in theater in college.
Carmen always has emergency baked goods in her purse in a small tupperware. Don't ask why, it's always proven useful.Ā
Minnie lives in the home above the antique shop. It was previously owned by her parents until they retired. It's been revamped by her, and has space for roommates.Ā
She has a small munchkin tuxedo cat named Figaro. He is her constant companion and comes with her to the shop and occasionally shopping. If he fits in the purse he sits.
Minnie attends auditions as much as the shop will allow. Normally on weekends and the evenings.
Her shop staff are normally college kids looking for extra money, or retirees.Ā
Carmen had a crush on Mickey forever, whether she tells Mickey is anyone's guess. She fears he will meet some big fancy actress and forget about her.Ā
The responsibility to her parents' dream, which she feels is her burden, clashes with her own dream. She's trying to make everyone happy and sacrificing her own dream to keep theirs alive.Ā
She has a signature makeup look full of natural pink tones and a red lip, with her favorite lily perfume. She loves nail polish.
Red remains to be her favorite color, but she often accessories with black and some interesting accessories now and then. Still rocks things in her hair on occasion.
Minnie has a personal motivational playlist on Spotify. And has a tumblr blog dedicated to both her etsy store, her physical store and inspirational quotes.Ā
She would love to own a Nantucket style mansion one day, if she can ever gets her acting career off the ground.Ā
Carmen loves vintage music and plays it while getting ready and in the shop.
Her favorite movie genre are romance. And loves to watch Hallmark channel and TMC. She would die if she got a hallmark channel spot as an actress.Ā
She loves her name, Carmen. Because it sounds like Carmel. Which is how she got her name, because of her grandma's baking habit. But not many people use it, preferring her nickname of Minnie instead, like the carmel miniature candies she consumed so much as a child. "Minnie, would you like a Mini Carmel?"Ā
