“Ok! just let me know where and when?!” She said to her.

“Whenever you’re free really! I’m free this week, if you’d like to set a date around then. That way you can focus on all your fun afterwards.” Ella replied with a friendly smile.

“Ah…” Haneul nodded with a worried look for a moment. “Well, I hope this project goes by super quickly so you’re free of them again. And if you eeeever need an escape, I hope you can find some solace that you’re doing something you love, I hope? Or an actual physical escape too,” He grinned, brimming with optimism and hope for Ella. “You’re very welcome, Ella! I’m Haneul, my friends call me Hani,” He extended his hand with a smile. 

“I hope so too. If not I’ll keep your uplifting advice in mind.” Ella replied with a small smile. “I am! I’m only an intern at the moment. But I hope to have my own brand one day. It’s a little far fetched, but it’s my dream.” She grinned back, his bubbly optimism beginning to rub off on her. “Nice to officially meet you Hani, if it’s okay to call you that. I’m technically a stranger still, I suppose.” Ella laughed, taking a moment to look at her sketchbook before returning her gaze towards him. “You know you’d make a lovely model!“

Minnie had spent all day arranging the instruments to be played by her currently, three person skeleton band. Mr. Bones, Ribeye, and Mart. But yesterday she had sent side a wide selection of shiny bobbles and fabrics she that had just come in, on the off chance Ella might step in. Including one pair of silvery blue rhinestoned high heel pumps on a velvet cushion. Carmen quickly adjusted her bowed headband as her brunette locks were falling into her face, and then waved at Ella with a grin. “It’s you. What a surprise indeed. You came at just the right time, I may have a few things you might like.”

“Well, it’s the truth,” Haneul smiled brightly. At the mention of the woman’s step siblings, his brow furrowed for a moment and he tutted, “That’s very sad of them to dislike you and truthfully I think they could be projecting their insecurities on you. You, deserve better,” he nodded for a second and continued with a, “Oh no, no no, no need to thank me! Honestly, I just…something told me you needed the pick me up.” 

Ella couldn’t recount the last time she had experienced such kindness. Her godmother was the only person that came to mind. It was nice to know that there was still lovely people out there. “I think you’re onto something there. I kind of thought I was free of them but turns out one of them is working on one of my projects for work with me. So wish me luck.” She mused with a nervous smile. “Either way, I appreciate it. I’m Ella by the way.”

If there was one place Ella was at more than her home and work it was Minnie’s antique shop. She loved scouting for vintage items, especially fabric and jewelry. Ella felt the items added a touch of uniqueness to her designs. Everything was always one of a kind. Walking into the shop Ella immediately spotted the raven haired girl. “Surprise it’s me!” She spoke with a rather large grin. “Got anything new?”
