Sex Slavery is such a heartbreaking part of our reality as a society today. As I try to imagine what it must be like to be in that kind of circumstance and experience I find myself overwhelmed with emotion. So much so that I see the tendency to just avoid the topic all together so I don’t have to feel that way. But if good people stand by and do nothing then perhaps we are part of the problem. Each of us can make a big difference when enough of us come together and contribute to making that difference. Today I want to share with you an organization, @globaleducationphilanthropists, which rescues individuals from human trafficking and helps them get the education they need to take back their lives. 👏👏👏 Talk about courage. Those who GlobalEP helps, have been in the very worst circunstances imaginable.....typically forced into prostitution and often even used for organ harvesting. It’s absolutely unfathomable what takes place. GlobalEP takes in special teams that physical extract the victims, move them out of harms way, provide education to keep them out of the path of traffickers and then empower them to enjoy peaceful, productive lives. Changing my own life required courage and a lot of it. Taking back life after being trafficked takes more courage than most of us will ever be able to imagine.
