Nicky having a similar nickname to Nick doesn't seem like a big deal to me for a few reasons:

Yes, Rollins and Nick dated (or at least slept together), but it was years before Nicky was born. I doubt she really remembered Nick or even still cared about him. Maybe the relationship or whatever didn't mean much to her.

Nicky is short for Dominick, which is the only reason he goes by that nickname.

It has one more letter.

Both are pretty common nicknames, so I doubt anyone in universe will bring it up. (Also, Fin's ex wife and one of Sonny's sisters have the same name, Teresa. I'm sure if Sonny heard about Fin's ex, or Fin about Carisi's sister, they wouldn't make a big deal about it.)

Bensler: Better as friends, or even strangers again. They've never felt like a match to me.

Rollaro: Nick was horrible towards his ex wife Maria, got involved with another woman while undercover (lying about his identity to her), and was too volatile. He would've been awful to Amanda as well.

Benisi: Olivia may not be Carisi's boss anymore, but she was at one point, and that makes the ship feel weird.

Bruno and Liv: Again, she's. his. boss. Huge power imbalance there. Given her kind of work, it would be extremely hypocritical.

Rollivia: See above.

Declan and Amanda: I'm not sure if this is a ship, but nothing would surprise me atp, being in so many fandoms and seeing some surprising ships. He was her boss when he got her pregnant, making it assault. She was already assaulted by her chief in Atlanta, and he was portrayed as in the wrong. Declan does the same thing and doesn't face any repercussions. And the narrative has Amanda justifying it! Either she's in denial about being assaulted, or this was an OOC moment.

Al and Amanda: Again, not sure, but they were briefly a couple. He cheated on her multiple times, took zero responsibility when he got her pregnant (he didn't even want the baby), then thought his money could win her back. He proposed to her when she was vulnerable, pretty much put her on the spot, and then wanted her to quit her job!

Nicole and Sonny broke up (she broke up with him) because they had differing views on marriage. I don't think she was supposed to be a permanent character or love interest for him.

They broke up because she was offended that he asked her to be his wedding date. (At least that's how I interpreted it.)

They wouldn't have worked out in the long run, and probably would've argued a lot.

January 2019

When Amanda was in the hallway of the maternity ward, in a wheelchair being pushed by her husband, she wasn't expecting to see her ex from seven years ago.

He wasn't getting off easily this time, not when he has the audacity to show up when she's about to give birth.

"Al." She wanted to roll her eyes when she saw him, but stayed calm for the baby's sake. "What are you doing here? It's been seven years. And you should know I'm married, because our wedding announcement was in the paper four years ago. Or did you choose to ignore it because you're still hoping to win me back?"

"Amanda, I desperately want to make things right. It's not too late, and I could be a father to the baby. I can give you more than Dominick. The baby will never know I'm not their biological father."

Amanda was livid. She stood up despite the pain, and looked him straight in the eye. "You're delusional, okay? You think you can just come back after seven years and think I'll forgive you for cheating? That I'll leave my husband because you have money?"

"I don't care about money, and I don't care about you. You're so immature, and so petty. You're doing this because you're still jealous of Carisi, because you think he "stole me." But you're not half the man he is. And I saw you watching me at the park last week, watching my other daughter. Our kids aren't yours, never will be. So get over it," she concluded.

Sonny smiled proudly. Even in labor, his wife was calling someone out, rightfully angry. She'd moved on and didn't even care about the cheating anymore. What bothered her was Al somehow finding out she was here, insulting her husband, trying to make her leave, and spying on Jesse.

She watched as security escorted him out, and didn't look back as Sonny helped her into the room.

Summary: Amanda finds out she's pregnant with Jesse.

April 2015

Amanda wasn't surprised to see they three positive tests, she and Sonny have been married for three months, trying to have a baby the whole time. But she didn't expect it to happen so soon, worried it would take them months, even years, to have a baby.

Doing the math, she realizes it must've been the day before Valentine's Day, meaning she was now nearly two months pregnant. Seven weeks, to be exact.

Biting her lip to keep herself from smiling and giving it away, she goes to tell Sonny, who's making dinner. "Babe, could you please come here for a second? I have something for you." He turned off the stove, immediately intrigued. Sure, they gave eachother little gifts often, but her tone made him think there was something more.

Upon seeing the positive tests in his wife's hands, Sonny immediately started to cry. Not because he was upset, but because he was finally going to be a father, raise a baby alongside the woman he loved more than anything. "Manda, you're-" she nods, smiling. "Around seven weeks. I suspected it for a few weeks, but I thought it was stress from work. I should've known, but I didn't wanna get your hopes up."

"I'm so happy right now, Rollins." Despite her last name now being hyphenated with his, he still used "Rollins" as a nickname, and she still uses his as one for him. Amanda hugged her husband, crying herself.

They were finally going to have a family together.

It's in January of 2025, ten years after they got married.

They have it at the courthouse, with a different judge officiating (I honestly didn't like Judge McNamara, who officiated in the show.)

Serafina walks Amanda down the "aisle."

November 2016

Ever since Jesse turned one last week, Amanda and Sonny were anticipating the day she took her first steps. Maybe even before she was born.

Both of them hoped it was when they were home, not when Jesse was with Liv or a babysitter.

It finally happened a few days before Thanksgiving, November 21st, three days after Jesse turned one. One minute she was sitting on the floor playing, the next, she was making a beeline for Sonny.

He'd been going over the guest list for Thanksgiving, but immediately stopped when he caught a glimpse of Jesse. He crouched on the floor and opened his arms, smiling proudly. Amanda recorded on her phone to show everyone later.

"C'mon to Dada, Jess! C'mon, you got this, babygirl!" Jesse giggled, babbling. She was eager to reach her daddy.

When she finally did, Sonny teared up, kissing her head. "That's my smart girl!" Amanda put her phone down and joined, tearing up herself.

They were already excited for the next milestone, but decided to focus on their baby girl taking her first steps.

Honestly, I've never shipped Olivia and Elliot. Even when I was only watching a few episodes in 2017/18 while home sick from school.

And even less so when I actually watched it, upon seeing his interactions with Kathy. And I don't think he'll wanna date again after her death.

To me, they've never felt like they were into eachother, and him saying "I love you" to her in the s27 premiere easily could've been platonic.

I didn't even ship them that much while watching the episodes before they kissed (last year/early this year), and I still felt the romantic tension.

I'm also glad I wasn't watching those early seasons when they first came out, because I would've been so upset that she was with Al/Sonny with Nicole.

Amanda sobbed as she held her daughter for the first time, relieved that she was okay.

She had a daughter. A combination of her and Sonny. Something she never could've imagined when they met three years ago.

"Hi, hi Jesse. I'm your mama, and I love you. I'm so happy you're finally here." The baby stares, her eyes the same as Amanda's.

"Amanda, how're you feeling?" Her husband asks gently, kissing her forehead. He'd been so worried, but was allowed to be there for everything. He got to watch his daughter enter the world, cut her cord. Amanda smiles. "Happy, in love, surprised. I never imagined this three years ago. I never thought I deserved it. But..I started to realize that I do. With help from you, Liv, Fin, your family."
