Amanda can't remember the last time she was in this much pain, at least not after giving birth to Billie four years ago.
Sure, getting shot last summer hurt, but she was unconscious and on painkillers for most of it, this was way worse than that.
She was surprised to even get pregnant a third time, she thought the shooting would affect that, but she wasn't worried about being 42. She knew plenty of women got pregnant and had healthy babies at that age.
Right now, though, all of those thoughts were the last thing she cared about, as she pushed, sobbing, squeezing Sonny's hand so hard she's worried it'll break.
"Hey, hey. You got this, Amanda. You've done this twice, and each time you did an amazing job. I know you can do this again," he reassures, pushing her hair back.
With one last scream from Amanda, Dominick Carisi III (Nicky) enters the world with a cry louder than both his older sisters' when they were born.
"Dom-Dominick," she sobbed, looking at her son. "Is-Is he healthy?" Sonny nodded, going to cut the cord. After the baby was checked and cleaned, a nurse handed him to Amanda.
"Look at him, Sonny. He's so tiny, and he's..he looks so much like you." She kisses the baby's hair. "Hi, Nicky. Mama loves you. And your big sisters are gonna love you. They're gonna spoil you."
Sonny sobs happily, enjoying this moment with his wife and newborn son before he has to pick the girls up from his parents.
"We have three wonderful kids, Amanda. And once again, you did an amazing job bringing him into the world. I'm so proud of you." Amanda smiles weakly as he takes Nicky.
Their family is complete, and so full of love.
A/N: I headcanon the date Amanda got pregnant with Nicky around mid-October, meaning she was nearly two months pregnant at the wedding. As for her drinking wine with Olivia in that episode, I assume she talked to her doctor or something. And Nicky's clearly healthy.
