Rebellion.

"More for you, right?” He retaliated with a small smile, “Pizza, the food of the gods.” 

Poppy pretended to exhale a dramatic sigh when Daniel mentioned that he liked Pizza. "Whew, thank-god. It is okay, we can still be friends. Pizza is the one food that cannot be over exaggerated."

“Welcome to New York City, where men look at women as objects and cat-call them daily,” he joked winking at the woman. But it was true, and he could see why a woman would be offended by comments like that. “What on Earth is this world coming to, am I right?”

"It isn't often that I run into someone just as cynical about these things as I am." Poppy laughed, "I'm Poppy. As for the world, I'm not sure. The jury is still out."

‘’I’m glad you have admiration, it says a lot about people– i believe admiration is a good thing to have..’’ Octavia admitted with a small smile ‘’Follow me while we find that tazor!’’ Octavia gestured towards the room, that would possibly hold it. ‘’I like intellectual conversation, a great passion and drive– success! And someone who will always think for himself..’’

"I think so." Poppy agreed, following Octavia into the next room as she searched for her tazor. "Success is always nice, but it isn't vital to me. We're only young. There is still plenty of time t to achieve. Goals are important, though."

“Of course!”

"Woah girl. Slow down. Even I can't keep up with those moves."

“Don’t let anyone know of those awesome moves. We’d have even more tourist traveling to NY just to see them. Lord knows we don’t need that.”

"Too true! I can hardly keep my admirers away as it is. We'd be overrun if they found out we could dance."

                                          “ Too accurate. ” He laughs. “ I guess it’s just different worlds. Men look too much like monsters these days. Somebody ought to give us a course on humanity when we’re young. I neglected to ask earlier, but, uh, was someone harassing you? ”

"Men are fine individually, mostly. Just as a collective-" Poppy laughed, "Me? Yeah, I guess you could say that. There was some construction workers on my way to work this morning who took it upon themselves to graphically vocalise their, uh, appreciation of my body."

“I’m not so much afraid of being a bad dancer. More afraid of everyone else looking stupid next to you and me.”

"I know it is hard for lesser beings to see us be as brilliant as we are, but it is just a cross we're going to have to learn to bear.”

I just don’t understand. Men can cat call, but don’t let them hear us even call them hot because it’s sexual harassment in the work place. 

"To each their own, suppose.” Daniel shrugged, “Though i’ll admit ‘m not a big fan of chocolate or ice cream, so maybe that’s it.” 

“Here we go!”

"I love it! The greatest dancing is all in the shoulders."

“Sure, of course.” Rhys agreed, doing as Poppy instructed.

Poppy smiled appreciatively as he opened the door ahead of her and her heavy box of books. "Thank-you for doing that. I don't think we've met. I'm Poppy. I live on the eighth floor.'

“It’s a daily struggle for me to walk properly and not fall over so I am really that bad. These legs aren’t made for dancing…or running…or any extensive activity.”

         “ I’ve never tried to give a compliment through a yell, I can’t imagine there’s a shred of genuine hope for it to work there. I think they probably know it’s not going to warm anyone’s hearts, that’s for sure. ”

"I totally agree with you. Capturing hearts hardly makes for a good locker room story. Am I right?"

“Oh I am. But I enjoy it.”

Aleisha’s smile only grew more and more as she listened to Poppy, happy that she was so happy. The last thing that the girl said caught her attention, making her get flushed in the face. “You’re doing perfectly fine gorgeous. I promise, you’re doing amazing, don’t worry.” She insisted with a smile

“Oh, wow, I don’t know about that.”

“C'mon, dance with me? You can’t be that bad.”

“Um…”
