Blessed Carino of Balsamo

On April 6, 1252, Carino fatally struck St Peter Martyr in the forest of Barlassina some twenty-five kilometers north of Milan. Later he was absolved by the Dominicans and received into the Order. He lived the rest of his life as a penitent lay brother until his death in 1293. On April 28, 1934, lead by Blessed Alfredo Ildefonso Schuster, Carino’s head was solemnly transferred from Forlí to Ciniseilo Balsamo, stopping en route at the Basilica of San Domenico in Bologna, where Carino’s head was placed upon Domenic’s tomb and was venerated by the murderer’s new fan base. Carino was then carted off to Balsamo, where the town’s populus and religious and civil leaders received its son ‘with indescribable enthusiasm, coming with torches, candles and banners’. On November 4, 1964, the parish of Balsamo acquired the rest of Carino’s body.

this is a bit late but i just want to say that i’m so glad a star is born didn’t win any of the “important” oscars, bc i found that movie so troubling that for weeks i couldn’t stop thinking how disappointed i was in every single decision bradley cooper made during the production of that movie

i’ve been watching new mandela effect youtube videos and it’s gone in a really dark direction, but also in a really desperate direction. Like now they’re very conspiratory but at the same time they’re obviously scraping the bottom of the barrel for new examples, such as:
