I'd love for you to continue with your liveblog! It may have been a while, but even now I sometimes go back to look at your old posts, just to have a good laugh, and I recommended it to my mom, since she's only recently getting into the whole liveblogging scene.

I'm around the same point as you and yeah Rose's origin is still definitely a really weird thing. When I watched Bismuth I was really thrown off because in Rose's Scabbard she talks about never going back home and in We Need to Talk she tells Greg she doesn't miss her Homeworld. But like? Maybe they wanted it to be special when Bismuth told us this? Or maybe Bismuth doesn't know the whole story? I'd like clarification on one or the other, cause it's odd.

It's not just you: the show has definitely thrown in some inconsistency about Rose's story on whether she's an Earthling or a Homeworlder. Just another part of her mystique.

Have you noticed that the word "magic" is being used less and less as the show progresses? It could be a subtle way to indicate Steven's growing maturity.

It really is ironic how Bismuth of all people is the first person to tell him he could be better than Rose, but then again, she of all people would know not to put her on a pedestal. And personally, while I'm more on Bismuth's side when it comes to shattering (fighting an enemy who would kill you without hesitation, while you had to soften your own blows only for them to come back is incredibly demoralizing), I can totally understand why Rose wouldn't, from both a moral and practical standpoint.

I feel like a jerk for asking, but I got to the point where they weren't blind reactions anymore and was wondering if it goes back to blind reactions? I just prefer that kind of live blog personally.
