This is not me coming out and saying all my threads and theories are wrong.

Fighting off the pushbacks online for years. I've been scrambling for the right words to express why Kaylor has been and still is so important to me.

What pulls me after all these years to still look for clues and to still keep up with all the koïncidences and winks they give us.

And here's where I think it lands.

Maybe I've missunderstood everything.

Maybe I've spent years seeing a story that was never there.

But even if it was the case, it doesn't really matter.

Because even if I did. Then for years I imagined one of the most beautiful love stories I've ever encountered.

The thing that always stood out the most for me wasn't the clues or the theories.

It was the admiration.

The way I understood and still understand this story. This love never seemed to turn into contempt. The heartbreaks never erased respect and even loss never made the other person smaller.

If anything, every album made me admire Karlie even more.

Not because I know her, or because I know what happened.

But because of the way Taylor has been talking about her for more than a decade now.

Because the person she keeps describing in this story, she never stopped describing as extraordinary.

Even in the sad songs, or the angry songs. Even in the songs where she sounded broken.

There was still wonder and tenderness.

Taylor never seems to describe her as something less than incredible.

And maybe this is why this story stayed with me for so many years. And still is.

Not because I needed it to be true.

But because I wanted a love like that to be possible.

A love where admiration and wonder survives time.

A love where respect survives heartbreak.

A love that doesn't need an audience to be real.

A love that builds on devotion instead of convenience.

A love where more than ten years later, you still look at the same person with awe.

So maybe I've got everything wrong.

And if I've misunderstood everything.

The hope this story gave me is real.

The understanding that this is the kind of love I've always wanted.

More than anything I fell in love with the way she loves.

With the admiration. With the tenderness. With the reverence. With the way wonder never seemed to fade.
