Everyone seems to have a story about a dumb kid they knew who homeschooled for a few years and then returned to school behind everyone else. And absolutely, that does happen. But it would be ridiculous to argue that these kids are representative of homeschoolers as a whole. For one, the reason these kids are going back to formal schooling is likely because homeschooling wasn’t working for them, no matter who you want to “blame” for that. 

But also, a lot of times, schooled kids just have no reason to know homeschooled kids. If you don’t go to church (or mosque or synagogue), or participate in community-based extracurriculars rather than school-based, or take classes outside of school, you’re probably just not going to run into many homeschooled or unschooled kids. 

Thank you so, so much! It’s really awesome to meet other pro-life LGBT+ people. Honestly, when I made this blog (years ago), I figured it’d die off quickly because I’d either be dealing with pro-life people who hate me for being LGBT, or LGBT+ people who hate me for being pro-life.

And although there are many of those, I never would have expected to find as many people who support me as I have, let alone people who are LGBT+ and pro-life themselves! 

I have no sympathy for idiots who continue to perpetuate some bs about America’s healthcare system being the worst in the world and single-payer being heaven.

America could stand some improvement, but England’s medical system neglected a disabled child to the point of death on a whim, simply because they hated him for being weak.

It is the lowest a society could be, to refuse to treat a baby because he’s “too expensive” or there’s “no point.” Just let him lie and rot away in a hospital bed without ANY attempt to help him when there are literally wealthy people and Presidents, for crying out loud, offering to help him and his parents begging desperately just for a second opinion and willing to pay for one. By the time they let them have a second opinion, it was too late.

EXACTLY.

Denying Charlie’s parents the option to take their child to doctors who actually have a chance of saving his life AND taking him off life support without their consent is both anti-choice and pro-death. 

Let America be America again. Let it be the dream it used to be. Let it be the pioneer on the plain Seeking a home where he himself is free.

The free?

Who said the free?  Not me? Surely not me?  The millions on relief today? The millions shot down when we strike? The millions who have nothing for our pay? For all the dreams we’ve dreamed And all the songs we’ve sung And all the hopes we’ve held And all the flags we’ve hung, The millions who have nothing for our pay— Except the dream that’s almost dead today.

O, let America be America again— The land that never has been yet— And yet must be—the land where every man is free. The land that’s mine—the poor man’s, Indian’s, Negro’s, ME— Who made America, Whose sweat and blood, whose faith and pain, Whose hand at the foundry, whose plow in the rain, Must bring back our mighty dream again.

Sure, call me any ugly name you choose— The steel of freedom does not stain. From those who live like leeches on the people’s lives, We must take back our land again, America!

O, yes, I say it plain, America never was America to me, And yet I swear this oath— America will be!

Out of the rack and ruin of our gangster death, The rape and rot of graft, and stealth, and lies, We, the people, must redeem The land, the mines, the plants, the rivers. The mountains and the endless plain— All, all the stretch of these great green states— And make America again!
