Luke and Nic - and I cannot express this enough - are not doing anything wrong.
- they said they were friends throughout the press tour - their closeness is adorable, yes, but they never said they were anything other than best-friends. They are very comfy with each other, which is understandable due to the fact they have been playing Pen and Colin for like 5 years, and once again: PR EXISTS. And they are ACTORS. They have not “deceived” anyone.
- they do not owe us compromising their boundaries! they do not owe us explanation! they do not owe us their private lives!
- anyone they are dating or not dating is THEIR BUSINESS. It is not ours, and if they choose to share that with us or not share it with us, we must respect it!
- Everyone involved is a literal adult.
- Luke is probably less engaged with social media/fans BECAUSE he’s been bullied by the fans for so long, whether it was about Colin fucking over Pen (ridiculous - they’re ACTORS) or now the fact he has a gf, or even just his appearance or his ability - all of which is horrid and inexcusable.
- Nicola posting on her story today is literally her warning people that she will also pull back; her relationship with fans and social media and marketing herself is one of the reasons people adore her so much - but she does not owe us that. She is allowed to have privacy. She is allowed to do what she wants.
We need. To leave them. Alone.
