A pause as they cough and regather themself. “Ahem. Sorry. What brings ye to Hammerlocke? Tourism i take it? I can’t show you the vault but i can tour you around the backstreets and up to some high nifty places if you wanna take a commemorative shot.”

Motostoke was a rather populous town, one of three major stops in the gym challenge, and the big roadblock for many, along with being the third most populated city in the region. Even still, with one glance this man could tell this recent arrival was...different. Something almost dark and malicious. They hoped their hunch was wrong. “Hello! Are you here in motostoke for the gym challenge today? Just a tourist perhaps?” A courteous and positive tone to their voice as they approached Sawyer.

What’s a kid doing walking around Hammerlocke all on their own? Sure, it wasn’t known to be a *dangerous* city by nearly any means, aside from the wild area and the pokemon on its surrounding routes of course, but it was still strange. Especially because they seemed to be looking about, as if lost. Carefully, the gym leader approached with a whistle. “Hey, you rite over ‘ere? ‘avin trouble findin tha train station er pokecenter?”

“Hey kid. Tha’ dragonair ye got? It’s scales are a beaut. Really shows how well you’ve been takin’ care o’ it.” A pause from the foreigner as they pulled to stand back up to full height from a slouch before. A breath, then polite tone. “What’s yer name? I’m Raihan, kind of a big deal round Galar. Makes it hard to train in peace.”
