Hello! I'm new here. I saw a few other Pokémon accounts on here and they all had introductions, so here's mine.
I'm a Pokémon in Unova working (and living) at a lab. My species and location are secret, at least for now. I don't want to get the lab in trouble. They study materials science, I help run experiments and edit their drafts.
Yes I work in a lab! But no I'm not qualified to help you with science, at all! The only things I know how to do here are follow instructions from the researchers, and correct their writing. I've caught on to some of the scientific topics they study, but only surface level. I am by no means an expert on anything related to materials science.
It can be somewhat boring at the lab since I live here full time, so I decided to finally make a Rotomblr account so I could participate in the random threads I stumble upon from other web sites. Pardon as I learn how to use the site and the local jargon.
I've learned quite a bit since I first wrote the above introduction. I am now competent with arithmetic and some other forms of mathematics!

The character (muse) doesn't really understand what fallers (characters from other worlds) or eebies (humans turned Pokémon) are, nor do they know what "alternate universes" are. You may interact, but they will assume you are from a different region in the case of fallers/alternate universe characters (like Mystery Dungeon Pokémon), or will generally be suspicious and confused if you claim to be an eeby.
The mail gimmicks are all disabled, since the muse is trying to lay low and not dox themself. No mailing items, dreams, no magic. I made the userboxes above, you can use them for whatever, no need to credit.

The blog will be set in somewhat of an alternate universe:
The games, anime, manga, and especially Pokédex will be considered unreliable propaganda.
The real world is much larger than is depicted in this propaganda, so there are many more cities in Unova than is depicted in the games or anime, for instance.
The vast majority of Pokémon are sapient (similar intelligence to humans) and can understand human speech if they spend enough time with them. This means that trained Pokémon by and large are able to understand their trainers almost entirely.
The converse is also true, humans can learn how to understand Pokémon, but this is rare, because;
Humans are prejudiced against Pokémon and human society does not afford them most rights.
As such there will be themes of systemic oppression throughout this blog. This includes lateral violence.
Each Pokémon species has an entire set of languages much like how humans IRL have many different languages, but within a region most members of a given species speak mostly the same language, and in many cases multiple species may speak the same language.

I really do wonder what it's like for trained Pokémon. I'm in a rather privileged position as far as Pokémon within human society are concerned. I'm able to go where I want, do what I want, within reason. I had a glimpse of a more typical trained life, but it was only a glimpse. I can't even begin to imagine what traveling with a trainer is like.
I mean. Some of them probably. But. I'm more talking about pokemon that like battling. That bond with their trainer and with each other. And who. You know. Aren't being pushed to the point of needing constant medical attention. What you're saying is really upsetting too though. Significantly more upsetting actually.
Admittedly, it was a bit crude, my apologies. In either case though, I wonder how often such a pair would actually split. Trainers love to talk about a "magical bond" they have with the Pokémon they employ. If there is something that deep about the connection they share, it would likely be inherently detrimental to switch a Pokémon for another, even if the replacement is technically better.
I'm sure it happens even with that consideration. I suppose if you are always traveling then retaining excess Pokémon while on a battling tour (I do not know the correct terminology) could be difficult, but for most I'd imagine they could simply return them home.
That is because it varies. Sometimes food requires you peel them, some don't, some need potatoes to be mashed, some require them to be boiled before other cooking methods.
The question makes it sound like you are asking if someone peels every single potato before cooking. Which just isn't true for basically anyone who uses potatoes.
That's fair enough, I didn't think about that. My first interpretation was something more like "are they saying that they are sometimes Pokémon and sometimes not?" Your interpretation makes more sense.

There was one point in time that something appeared regarding a historical plague, another about those damned “starseeds” that I have rambled on about time and time again.
And now… it believes I am interested in mushroom cultivation. While it is a common practice in Ultra Megalopolis, it is done so out of necessity. I do not think the average human needs to grow fungi.
A shame, mushrooms are underused in human cuisine. At least the cuisine of Unova, I have not been to other regions. Though that bag appears to be for the purpose of cultivating psychotropic fungi, judging from the "free your mind" tagline.

My world literally has cultures that are majority-sapient Pokemon living alongside humans.
In the context of my world, your argument that treats Pokemon more like weapory—dangerous objects—than just creatures that have interwoven their lives with humans, or otherwise are entirely people of their own natures and deserving of equality and dignity is extremely speciesist rhetoric!

In your universe, sure, I could maybe see your view - but, don't you don't worry at all that they're waiting for an opportunity to strike?
If there was a human capable of such horrors, they wouldn't be let out to wonder freely, now, would they?
crazy how heated the discourse about 'can my porygon/rotom participate in artfight on my behalf' got this year lmaooo, I'm still getting vagueposts about it on my dash. Insane to me that their solution was to also ban smeargle and grafaiai accounts be fair
Why would they allow anyone to participate for anyone on their behalf? If human A creates the work for human B to post that's straightforwardly against the spirit. Why would it be different if it were Pokémon A instead? Unless I misunderstand the concept of the, competition? Game?
Ehhh, it was always a bit of a grey area. They tried to ban 'assistance from pokemon' outright for many years, which caused a lot of backlash and a lot of people just did not listen at all. So like two years ago they allowed 'assistance' in attacks from a select list of pokemon, but the person in question had to mark that their pokemon 'helped' when submitting the attack. However, it was contriversial that the pokemon listed did not include rotom or porygon, and many digital artist complained that they were favouriing traditional artists and being unfair in general so due to the backlash all 'assistance from pokemon' has been banned.

Dust is a mixture of very fine material from any source of fine material. Usually it's mostly dirt, but there's also dander, decomposed hair and insects, salt from the air, etc. If there's any connection to the outside world or living organisms inside, there will be dust.
