Upon arriving home, you notice your mother is fast asleep—so deeply that she doesn't even realize you’ve returned. You set aside your tools and head to your bed, where you begin to cry in silent; recalling the day's events, you cannot help but let out a pitiful moan. The next day, you return to work without rest or assistance. You have been tilling the land for more than half the day when you begin to feel utterly drained. A few minutes later, feeling unwell, you step away from the town and its inhabitants to catch your breath—something unusual for you, as you typically wouldn't tire until nightfall. You head toward the vast forest where the God of your land resides; you sit on the grass, lean your back against a tree, and close your eyes, overcome by fatigue.

When you open them, you find yourself in a different place; the thought that you might have been kidnapped crosses your mind.

You are in a room that resembles a courtroom. Several men are looking in your direction, and the sheer number of eyes fixed upon you fills you with fear. The man seated at the presiding judge's bench begins to speak.

"Welcome to Devildoom... MC."

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the AU is based on a Penelope!Yuu who hasn't met Odysseus yet (meaning a 16-year-old Yuu); from what I looked up, she might not have known Odysseus at that age.

But after successfully navigating all the obstacles, she drew near, hopeful, seeing that her suspicions were correct: it was the golden shell!

It was within her grasp. For a few moments, a seed of hope sprouted within her. At last, she could free her friends and leave. She was about to take it when a violent current swept everything away, and with it, the shell was carried far out to sea.

She tried to grab it, but at that moment the potion's effect vanished (for her). Breathless, she made her way toward where she found a flat, level surface.

Upon reaching solid ground, she collapsed, gasping for air. When she finally calmed down, she realized that night was already falling; She had lost the challenge...

At that moment, she heard a familiar voice.

"As I told you, you had to find the golden shell before sunset on the third day."

Penelope!Yuu turned and saw Azul, smiling arrogantly. He knelt beside her and took her chin, bringing his face close to hers.

She heard two people laughing loudly and turned toward the sound, finding Jade and Floyd staring at her.

That's when he understood everything. Azul had deceived him...

But there was nothing he could do. Sunset had passed, and now he would have to give up the only safe place he called "Dormitory," along with his freedom...

She simply turned to face him as he leaned closer.
