more ideas

more thoughts

more resources

more creativity

more patience

more strength

more resilience

more solutions

when one's reserves

are depleting,

the other's reserves

are a back up generator,

keeping the lights on

and the show rolling

all night long

all of the projects

they never would have

attempted on their own

they've dove into

head-strong

and heart-happy

.

no it isn't perfect,

but the value they found

and continue to place

in one another

above any

and all troubles

i work on myself

you work on yourself

and this is the bond

that doesn't break

under any kind

of pressure,

internal

or external.

they are not sedimentary,

breaking apart easily

under the pressure

and they're not

the explosive igneous kind

all rager silica volcano

with pent up pressure

hiding deep below

ready to mar the surface

with one big blow

they are metamorphic,

stable and readily able

to take the heat,

good under pressure,

the diamonds

in the rough

.

they are the igneous,

low in volatile compounds

building, building

slowly over time

mounding their successes

one at a time

.

think of hawai'i -

a gentle 14,000 feet

above the ocean floor

with 20,000 more

still to go below

.

power couples

are not showy,

they are not money

or overly wealth focused -

but attuned to details,

and best possible

outcomes,

all for their life

together

no acting,

no fakeness,

family comes first

.

they are people

who value other people,

are able to reach out,

to trust, to protect,

ask questions of

and give respect,

don't let pride

break down the engine

of moving forwards,

talk the other up,

show the other off,

and see and fill a need,

ask questions, stay curious,

give their gosh darn best

even when at their worst,

knowing what they give

to the other

gives back to them

one hundred fold

rearing their toxic sides

their lives
