Egon Spengler headcanons!!
You'd very much expect Egon to have a thing for classical music, but he actually really likes the way synth-pop music sounds. (Eurythmics, Human League, Pet Shop Boys, etc!)
Obviously, this was meant to be non-spoken Canon, but he IS autistic.
During his first undergraduate degree, he double minored in mycology and microbiology.
He is unsettled by advanced puppetry. (Not sock puppets. More Jim Henson type puppet realism)
He has the cilantro soap gene.
He prefers pepsi to coke. He was obsessed with Pepsi Free when it came out, because that meant he could have his two cups of coffee in the morning followed up by a pepsi and not get the jitters by afternoon.
Egon is NOT a morning person. He wakes up at the ass crack of dawn. Don't get me wrong, but he won't talk to you. He takes on the motto of "you don't have to be a morning person if you don't go to sleep the night before."
Science conferences are like his comicons.
He prefers black and white TV shows and movies! While he almost never watches television, sometimes the boys put a show on a TV near him and leave. Like distracting a kid. His favorites are The Twilight Zone, the Outer Limits, and Witness for the Prosecution.
He knows how to play the theremin. He never actually LEARNED OR PRACTICED it, but a professor of his had it in their classroom, and he picked up the mechanics very quickly. It's just pattern recognition. He also never played it afterwards.
He speaks English, German, and Latin fluently.
Ahem, "physical intimacy" is very transactional for Egon. He could likely go years without it, as he doesn't deem it to be important. He'll look for it if he craves it, but other than that, he doesn't seek it out.
