Main art account not gonna be very active but I’ll try. I mostly stick to art but I also like writing even though I’m not the best at it 😅

I like coming up with stupid au’s for the fandoms I’m in.

Twst ✨ Magical Boys ✨

The weekly villains aren’t really villains and are just batteries to the blot monsters. The monsters feed off of the negative emotions that created them until they serve the tie between them and the human leaving the human an empty husk.

The human is left stuck were the monster was first created stuck in a endless swarm of whatever negative emotion they were feeling at the time.

To save them a magical boy/girl can either defeat the monster forcibly severing the tie between the monster and human.

Or

They can find the human, try and figure out what caused them to feel the negative emotion, attempt to convince them to calm down, purify their heart and THEN kill the monster

As you can tell the second option is much harder to do and is a very long process. So it’s very dangerous to corrupt because unless you get a really good or experienced magical girl/boy (which the first years are not) you probably won’t have a good outcome.

Especially sense forcibly severing the tie between the monster and human rarely works. Sense by the time the tie is severed to much energy has already been taken from the human.

The villains on the other hand are just evil magical boys. They have special weapons just like the magical boys as well.

Also how’s Grim doing without yuu, is he ok with that or like constantly mourning/worrying or maybe he just constantly nags first years and says that yuu’d do their job in no time? And like in general how yuu’s disappearance affected everyone (both friends and school staff and like there are probably posters with missing kid and stuff. I feel like yuu’d hunt the narrative a lot (smth like Himmel is a huge part in Friren even though he’s gone in the beginning). Maybe boys struggle to be good magical girls/boys and constantly wonder how yuu did it so well.

also what was yuu like as a magical girl/boy? As far as I understand even though no one knew their identity, everyone knew the magical persona. Were they a good magical girl/boy? What was their reputation? How are people reacting to their magical girl/boy disappearance and the how they got replaced by a bunch of inexperienced magical protectors?

Twst ✨ Magical Boys ✨

Yuu was not having a fun time being a magical boy

Being one of 3 magical boys in a city known for being overrun by villains and being the weakest of the 3 was not good for there mental health

They were actually a very talented magical boy they just weren’t physically strong which caused the residents of the city to be very harsh to them.

There identity was also a secret to the kailm and silver so they only really had grim. Crewel and trein tried to support them but yuu often pushed them away.

Grim pretends he’s doing just fine without yuu but yuu was the first person he met when he first got to twisted wonderland.

He lives with ace and deuce but sometimes sneaks into yuu’s dorm room to sleep on their bed.

The first years were and still are pretty hated. People like that they’ve actually started making a real change in the city but that kinda gets overshadowed by the amount of property damage and victims of the attacks there are.

The first years are pretty good at the fighting bit! It’s just the saving bit they have trouble with. When fighting a blot monster you can actually purify the host and save them before their energy is completely drained. The first years try but it’s a delicate and carful process were they basically have to play therapist for a bit.

They are not good at that.

They’re getting better though!

Weapon: Claws

His arms can transform into wolf claws to attack his enemies. (So don’t worry they aren’t always like that)

He’s not sure how he feels about being a magical boy.

Sense there world has no magic there’s no beast men so the wolf ears were a bit of a shock to him

Epel 🍎

Weapon: Exploding Apple

He loves everything about being a magical boy except for his clothes. Epel has begged grim to change his outfit but 1. Grim can’t do that and 2. He wouldn’t do it even if he could because he finds it funny.

His apples only affect the blot monsters and the villains so he doesn’t have to worry about causing to much property damage.

He loves fighting monsters but because of vil and rook it’s really hard for him to sneak away.

Became a magical boy after getting caught in the middle of a battle between vil, ace and deuce. (Ace and deuce were losing badly)

Poisons don’t affect him and is very agile

He’s very good at fighting but not so good at saving people… to minimize casualties crewel forces him to work with Jack instead of alone. Epel doesn’t mind.

Vil is a bit concerned for epel considering how reckless he can be and how dangerous the city they live in is with all the monster attacks (partly his fault) but is also suspicious of how often epel tries to run off.

Because Crowley is the worst in this au he’s the one turning his students into evil magical boys. He watches for strong negative emotions or things that has happened to in their that maybe left a strong negative impact and once he senses that and thinks there’s potential in someone he grabs the darkest part of their soul and that chunk of their soul transforms into a gem that gives them the power to transform into a villain.

Same thing happens with the regular magical boys, expect instead of taking out the darkest part of one’s soul the brightest part of the soul is used to create the gem. (The gems are there pens btw)

Also they won’t die if the gem is destroyed like madoka magica. It will hurt like hell but there soul will simply return to their body but they also lose their magic if the gem is destroyed so they do have to be careful with it.

Overblots are already technically evil magical boys so I tried to lean more into the magical girl part with a mix of their overblots. I think I’ll definitely have to redesign idia and riddle though sense riddle leans a little to much into his og overblot and Idia leans a little to far.

Crowley is the headmaster of nights raven college and is also a retired villain who lost to a group of magical girls/boys and was presumed dead. While not the origin of the blot he knows how to use it to his advantage and has made the blot 10 times worse then it used to be behind the scenes. The villains he’s recruited don’t actually know why he’s doing this but they’ll (begrudgingly) follow thanks to the power that he’s given them to achieve their own goals.

Also good place to say this but while blot monsters can just randomly appear the villains can also create monsters (like any good magical girl show) from extreme negative emotions. They go after specific emotions though that correlate to why they become villains. Like if you found out you were purposely not invited to your best friend’s party Malleus could show up and create a monster or if you’re stressed and angry because nothing is going your way and nobody is listening to you Riddle could show up. Once the monster is created just like an overblot the monster uses the human like a battery till they run dry though the human doesn’t get a cool new form.

I got an ask about magical girls and that made me spiral into my obsession again. Went through my old sketchbook filled with twst x magical stuff and redrew my ace and deuce designs. My obsession is so big right now I came up with a whole AU idea.

The AU:

Ace and Deuce both still go to nights raven college but magic doesn’t exist expect for magical girls and boys that fight off blot monsters.

Ace and deuce are forced into becoming magical boys when they encounter a blot monster in the woods while looking for their friend Yuu, instead finding their pet cat grim, who turns out to be a yuu’s magical helper. Giving Ace and deuce powers.

Now they have to fight off blot monsters to save the world while also looking for yuu.

The first years are magical boys while the overblot boys are the villains.

The first years have no clue that the overblot boys are the villains and vice versa.

The first years use hands pretty cure style but at the end of a battle they pull out weapons, ace and deuces being croquet mallets.

They still go to an all boys boarding school and the dorms are still the same but it’s not on an island and instead is in the middle of a city.

Thought it would be interesting if the staff were in on it to crewel and trein helping the first years (who were originally Yuu’s mentor) and Crowley “helping” the overblot boys. Sam and Vargas are non magical but Sam secretly knows everyone’s secrets. Vargas is completely clueless though.

Haven’t decided yet but everyone else is probably also a villain expert the first years, kailm and silver

That city was going through it before the first years became magical boys btw the only magical boys it had were yuu, kailm, and silver. (Also rook who secretly went out to fight blot monsters every now and then even though he’s a villain.)

RSA also exists but there in a whole other city.

Also nrc is a normal school it just so happens that its headmaster corrupts students he sees potential in, into magical villains.
