Salmonids of tropical areas where the water is much warmer, like the spirilhite islands, are often much more feral. Salmonids in northern areas, like the reef or splatberia, are more intellectual and are even capable of fitting nicely into society.

The salmonids of inkadia are a sort of in between point of these 2 extreams. While on the more savage side, inkadian salmonids are tame enough to make trade deals with the octarians but are still feral enough that they'll attack civilians.

Inkadia and the splatlands are one nation, theyre considered separate but in practice the 2 often act as one nation, leading the splatlands to start to dissolve into simply a symbolic name over political label.

New Finland is a nation residing on the micro-continent of the same name, the population here contains much less inkfish and jellies then inkadia. Recent census data shows thst the most common species in this nation are the slithers, people thought tk have descended from ancient oceanic limbless reptiles.
