leafpool and squirrelflight getting told over and over again that they should’ve just told the truth right from the start is so funny 2 me it’s like they have all forgotten how they treat cats who break the code and half clan cats and kittypets etc etc like leafpool was completely correct in worrying that the three would have had horrible upbringings if everyone knew who their parents were bc of how fucking mean the clans are. they’re all like if u had been honest everything would have been fine :( *proceeds to prove again and again that it absolutely would not have been fine*

remember in tnp when shadowclan attacked  thunderclan and brambleclaw yelled at leafpool and told her it was her fault (because he thought that because leafpool had the audacity to inform littlecloud about his friend cinderpelt’s passing he might have passed that info along to russetfur, giving away thunderclan’s weakened state) only to later find out that it was hawkfrost who told shadowclan about the badgers, who learned it from brambleclaw during a tigerstar training sesh, and this doesn’t lead to any repercussions or internal development other than him lamenting “oh now i can’t apologize to leafpool because then she’ll no i did a bad thing :(”
