being plural means smiling and laughing at a joke one of your headmates made, or having witty banter with them as you make a meal that you'll both be able to enjoy

being plural means a headmate going "its okay, you don't have to do this, i can do it" and you thanking them because yeah, you cant do that, and thats okay

being plural means thinking about your headmates when buying new clothes, or seeing a shirt or pair of pants for sale and going "they'd love that !!"

being plural means making one of your headmate's simplyplural profile, and spending lots of time perfecting it so that it fits them to a T

being plural means knowing you aren't alone

being plural means knowing that your headmates, your friends, your family, are always there for you

The one who is the default for us isnt the origional host or anything. They are like our body incarnated but came well after we were a system.

Now they experience very similar to your comic, acting as a basis for our other members while not being someone themselves.

It is deeply uncomfortable and when they are the only one fronting they tend to doubt being a system.

We kinda wanted to write something comforting, but... all we know how to say is just.

While internal communication is great because. Well. Its hard to explain but because we’re monoconcious information just gets transferred. Best I can shorthand it is it is like being members of a hivemind. You just Know what goes through everyone’s minds. Sure the source of those thoughts is what belongs to each of us, but everyone hears it, inevitably.

The thing about this, though? If the source themselves isn’t fully aware of the reason for why they might be doing something, the subconscious reasoning ISNT shared. Most recent example being Mold, who one night just before falling asleep, idly pondered “well maybe I’m making us so tired to prepare for escaping the discomfort of an upcoming surgeries’ recovery”. And let me tell you both Mold and the rest of us hearing that concious thought were suprised at it. So. Yeah.
