Announcing the Webcomic Community Storybundle! Curated by yours truly. Weâve been working on this for well over a year, and the dayâs finally come. With Storybundle, you pay what you want for a collection of E-books. A portion of our Bundleâs proceeds will go to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital in North Carolina, they do some amazing and important work. Hereâs my introductory blog post thatâll explain more.Â
Iâve always been fascinated by comics. I love the art, the adventure, but most of all, I love the spaces between the panels that my imagination fills in. At first I was interested in mainstream comics. Industry titans like Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman were the ones who first showed me what the medium was capable of. As time went on, I discovered Image Comics and was thrilled by their wealth of creator owned ideas. I wasnât exposed to webcomics until my early adulthood, when a friend suggested that I read Homestuck. What I discovered was that a new frontier of unique creators had emerged online.
It took over a year, but Iâm thrilled to announce that the Webcomic Community Bundle has finally launched. The titles featured in this Bundle are nothing short of dazzling, and if youâre a fan of comics, or fantasy in general, these eight graphic novels are a must-have. You can choose, and I hope you do, to donate 10% of your purchase to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital in North Carolina, where your money will be put to work nursing sick turtles back to health. So curl up with your E-reader, and enjoy this fantastic, exciting, and endlessly imaginative collection of worlds and characters. â Simon Watts
Youâll probably recognize some of the names in the Bundle, and it was a true honor to recruit so many amazing talents. The Bundle runs for three weeks.Â
