This.. actually makes a fine reference to what a lovecraftian eldritch abomination SHOULD BE. not just.. tentacles and darkness. Perpetually changing, not cemented in form, with an otherworldly feel to it. Completely unrecognizable by most human descriptions, and only able to be viable perceived by those fine enough to be an adept wordsmith.

Actually! the North American Furby Fur Trade predated the industrial age by centuries, which you can read about in most U.S. History textbooks. However it's true that while the commercial industry dealt primarily with pelts, furby meat remained an essential calorie source for trappers & traders surviving harsh Canadian winters

Fun fact! Furbies are classified as rodents! They were popularized to be pets in the late 90s, and before then were treated like rats. Also, short and fat furbies are the domestic version of the wild furbies. Wild furbies are the "cursed" varieties you see on tumblr (long, centipedes, etc.).

Add-on: Furbies seem to not have the long tails that are iconic to rodents because furby breeders cut them off at a young age for aethstetic :(
