Leah Jones was born in a large family in Kathmandu, almost raising her siblings when she was still a child herself. She took that job on herself, but it didn’t keep her from being resentful about the fact that she was doing it. When she was nine years old they moved to Adelaide, Australia, when her father got himself a job that paid better than what she had in Nepal. It gave her mother a chance to finally stay at home for once, giving Leah a break from motherhood. In her early twenties, Leah decided to go to school overseas in the United States.
She spent her entire college career studying, rather than forming social relationships with her classmates. She wanted to have a great future, and stopping to make friends was going to get in the way of that. Ever since then, however, people believed her to be cold and unlikable. Even working in Pleasant Town’s hospital for years, people are not fans of her and her management towards the nurses. It was a surprise that she landed herself a husband in David Gray, seeing that he was fresh out of his first marriage with Elsa.
Sleep is on the last of Leah’s list of things to do. In her opinion, she could sleep when she’s dead. Maybe even afterwards.
Despite being a doctor, she rarely wants to take medication or be prescribed medications when she is feeling under the weather. More often than not, she ends up in the emergency room for refusing help before then.
She is heavily against the mayor and will talk badly about him, but will threaten anyone that hears that.
Quinn Gray — Leah is the step-mother of Quinn Gray, and she feels like she’s the evil step-mother in the way that he treats her. All she wants is for him to succeed.
David Gray — Her husband. The two married not long ago, shortly after his first marriage was finalized.
Vivian Gray — Her adopted daughter. She was born with down syndrome as well as a lung problem brought upon by the Blight, deeming her almost un-adoptable. She and David took her in.
