GREY COULD TELL that bellamy was trying his best to speak normally so he wouldn’t be concerned, which was so much like his lover to do. he tried to be there, tried to soothe his pains as he kept him close and tickled his cheek with soft kisses. at the mention of bell’s mother, he stilled, his fingers lazily stroking along bellamy’s side. “i’m fine,” he said, though his tone of voice was more tired, lethargic. he hadn’t eaten or drank properly in days and it showed in the dullness in his eyes and the paleness of his skin. but right now, he was more worried about bellamy. it wasn’t like he couldn’t walk or find something to eat on his own here.
“please, i don’t want this to happen again. i don’t want you hurt again,” he reasoned, tightening his hand on bellamy’s hip into a fist. “please promise me you won’t go looking for her.” he knew bellamy better than to act on revenge but he couldn’t allow him to do that. maybe next time, bellamy’s psychotic mother would kill him and grey both. as they lied there, he took his time examining bellamy’s wounds, trying to gauge how bad they were though he knew little about medicine. “if you need anything, let me know, all right? i’ll be here.”
Keeping his eyes on Grey, Bellamy reached up with one hand and touched his man’s face. Let his thumb roll over his cheek softly and felt his scruff against his thumb. Bellamy didn’t actually have any facial hair. Oddly enough his mother kept the sides of his hair cut and his face clean. She would do this one act so carefully but she always had been one to keep herself looking perfect. It wasn’t that much of a surprise that she took care of his looks and then broke his bones in the same day. That actually sort of sumed his mother perfectly. “It’s okay if your not.” Bellamy promised him. Because there was no way Grey was in that tower for six months and just came out fine. They’d been lucky the first time around. Bellamy found him quickly but this was different. This was their luck running out.
When Grey started to beg him not to do anything, Bellamy’s eye brow furrowed. “Grey,” He rolled over a bit, wincing lightly as he did. His eyes on the others big brown ones. “If I never see her again, I’ll be all the happier for it.” He promised. “I am not leaving you. Not in this city. Not for my mother nor to stop the sky from falling. I wont do it again. Ever. Do you understand?” Bellamy asked as he looked at Grey. “I am not going again. She’s not worth it.” He mumbled. “She’s not worth leaving you for a second.” Bellamy mumbled. They’d already lost time they could have had together because of her. Another moment was going to be waisted on his mother. “I need nothing, Grey dearest. Not anymore.” His eyes slipped closed now and he hummed. “I love you, Grey. More than anything else.”
