im extremely unemployed so i am watching the canadien dev camp scrimmage and im so obsessed with this as a piece of sports media. the full announcer for it. the replays. it's incredible it's so much fun like yeah THIS is how you get people excited about your prospects / your team's future. yeah these guys look like puppies sometimes but it's all so charming

sounds like my friend just got tickets to a (very low profile) world cup match next week for fairly reasonable price and cannot lie i'm incredibly stoked but a little afraid that suddenly the tickets won't be real or her boyfriend will decide to go or something

today in pickup soccer my Rival was sitting on the sidelines when I scored a goal and immediately started hooting and hollering extensively and man I might genuinely ride this burst of pride and joy into actually starting to run so that I can play better because that validation hit like crack

#im not even that proud of the goal im just so pleased that my Rival thinks I'm good and saw a success instead of failure (mostly i fail)#goal was scored by me basically just sort of very awkwardly squeezing by three defenders from the corner to the goal #because the defenders #with all the love in my heart #were very bad at their jobs #anyway i kind of dribbled past them to the very corner of the net and then put it in the net with my back to net pulling it under me #“is this an enemies to lovers situation” no i am obsessed w this girl but in a very siblings way #like if i had a sibling who was my age. that would be the energy. i want to bite you and i want to fight you and i want to defend you #and it is all out of deep fondness

Be kind today, someone could be fighting a battle you know nothing about (being emotionally devastated by hockey teams in the middle of the work day)

today at public skate I was chatting with one of the skaters who's been learning way longer than me and then she came up to me as I was working on a new skill I've been struggling with and was like "oh that took me like 9 months! it's so hard!" and then she gave me a drill that helped her and immediately I started making progress. anyway im just feeling very in love with the humans in the world right now

ok look i wasn't going to follow hockey anymore w my habs out but i looked up the canes knights game on google and seeing period 2 (4) period 3 (4) OT 1 (0) is genuinely the funniest thing to ever happen in the SCF.

adding the fact that i then found out about the disallowed goals and I'm rolling this is the most unserious game ever played
