Cause here’s the thing: if nobody is engaging in a system, it does not mean that the system is magically “not broken” or unbalanced anymore.  It just means no one is using it.  Which makes the system pointless to have in the first place.

And it’s especially annoying to hear this “rebuttal” during beta, a time in a site’s history that is specifically designed to test how well systems are working.  But I guess these people are just taking their own advice and not engaging in that system? (snerk)

Under the cut are 3 examples of what I mean, if you’re curious, but to copy paste my conclusion:

Stop trying to protect geniune flaws in DV’s design by saying “just don’t use it then”.  It doesn’t help DV in the long run to ignore design flaws and it doesn’t even make sense anyway.

Pet Affection & Evolution Guide and Daily Gain Data!

I finally evolved Fancy Gilbert the other day! He turned from orange to Minty Fresh. So now is a good time to post a gentle reminder that I’ve created a Pet Affection & Evolution Guide, plus I’ve posted Daily Affection Gain Data from the two pets I’ve maxed (or I will be shortly in Gilbert’s case). It should give you ideas of how long it’ll take, what to do to make it go by faster (did you know you get +1 affection per day when the pet is your active pet?), and see all of the pets that users have evolved!

As a reminder, “datamined” info isn’t allowed to be posted on Dappervolk, so please do not post the evolved images that you’ve gotten through manipulating the URLs. (Yes, I do know how to do it :P) I don’t want to have the thread closed!
