AASIM TAIMOOR / half-blood / sixth year / ravenclaw prefect

Born to a muggle father and a pure-blood mother, Aasim’s childhood began as relatively normal. While his mother worked irregular hours at the Ministry of Magic as an Auror, his father was largely present in raising him and his younger sister, Rahmi, up until his tragic death following a car crash when Aasim was five years old. His entire life changed on a dime thereafter, his mother growing bitterly cold and distant. She spent the majority of her time obsessively overworking at her job, and otherwise fought relentlessly with her son every chance she got. Salvation came to Aasim when he finally reached the age of eleven and received his Hogwarts letter in the mail, offering him a much needed break away from his toxic family life within the magical school that ultimately became his home.

Now in his sixth year at Hogwarts, his Hufflepuff sister in her second, Aasim prides himself on his hard work and dedication. His renown sense of responsibility rightfully earned him his role as a Ravenclaw Prefect, a job he takes incredibly seriously under the high expectations of the Headmaster. He can most often be found at the library or tucked away inside the Ravenclaw common room, and although enjoys his solitude, also makes time for those he’s grown close to over the years. His favorite subjects are Astronomy and Transfiguration, though he excels in all his studies (minus Potions, the only class he often struggles with perfecting even if he still manages to do rather well).
