🌈For June 8th : Rei x Usagi from Sailor Moon 🌙 Deep in my heart, since I started reading the manga as a teen, I always shipped Rei and Usagi together. I always thought they were a better match than Usagi with Tuxedo Mask 🤣🤣🤣 I'm happy my first fanart ever of this manga is one featuring these two gals together 🌙

They both felt the silent shame of not being fun when they talk about memories of dead mothers or cry about how much they miss them. They both felt pressure before to isolate and not bother anyone, especially in the ugly, inconvenient moments when jealousy and rage at the injustice flare over others having what you lost. The moments when you should be alone the least but feel like you should be the most.

They keep each other company at grave visits and provide aftercare. On the date of the death of Rei’s mother, Makoto brings Rei flowers. On the date of the death of Makoto’s mother/parents, Rei brings Makoto flowers.
