As the day went darker, there was silence all around. I could feel the cold of the night creeping in through the small spaces of my window. The sky wasn’t as bright as it was , and it got darker by the seconds. The street light flickered in the distance as it reflected through my window into my wall.
The only sound was the noise of the air conditioner and the noise of my smoke detector which meant the battery was dying. I could feel the breeze of the air through my vent as it went into the top of head. It picked into my blanket , hugging the blanket closer to me. There was no sound of TV playing as it usually does, making the silence louder. That silence made the house feel emptier, as it knew there was something missing. I could only find myself laying down still, staring at my ceiling , at nothing. My mind went 100 mph, trying to find a reason why there wasn’t any other choice. I couldn’t stop thinking.
Yet, my body stood still. I couldn’t find myself to move. As if the weight was pushing down on me, making it harder to try. I could feel something wet dripping down the side of my face into my ears, making me cold as the air brushed me. As I try to turn my head, I could feel the wetness of my pillow on my cheek. I could only close my eyes, to try to make the night go faster.
Stop thinking, think
Go faster, stop
