i saw a “confession” (?) about how 4-6 years age difference isn’t weird in a relationship and that rubbed me the wrong way. most of the characters in riordanverse stories are minors, and it would definitely be weird for an 18+ year old to date a 12-14 year old? that’s not okay. being upset over that big of an age difference is definitely not just someone being dumb or “whiny,” especially when it comes to MINORS. i would never date a damn twelve year old. ships like p*rcico and l*kercy? BAD!!! 😪

I can’t really see how people think Rick doesn’t add diversity to his stories? He’s had multiple stories with lgbt representation including relationships. He’s had latino, black, asian, and muslim charecters. And many of his main charecters have dylexia, ptsd, and ADHD.

I hope Caleo breaks up because Calypso’s curse is based on her being forced to fall in love with someone and it would be nice to see it come full circle with her falling out of love with someone. Plus maybe Leo can get his character development back.

Hoo is literally terrible except for the diversity ( which could’ve been better but whatever ). Percy and annabeth had their series, he tried too hard to develop them more. He should’ve tried to develop the other literal 7 couples. Solangelo and Caleo were so bad it hurt. Leo shouldn’t have ended up in a relationship but whatever. The writing style doesn’t fit and all the characters sound the same. There’s no development and he just blew over all his poC characters.

Nobody has talked about what happened when nick first listened to modern music yes and it’s really bugging me because I want to know what happened. Like was he disguised? How did he act about it??

Tbh I honestly think that we need more fanarts of rarepairs, most of the time you just see fanarts of popular ships floating around tumblr/deviantart/etc and that makes me feel sad that I can barely find any new good fanarts of my rarepair OTP

toa has its problems but I like that each book lingers in one place and fleshes out the location. it feels like something new after two series that mostly focused on odyssey-style quests that never stayed anywhere for long. the waystation and aeithales are both super interesting places and i'm tentatively excited to get the camp jupiter world-building that hoo never quite gave us.

solangelo is such a cute ship but on the other hand i can’t help but feel it was kinda rushed on riordan’s part. i mean, we barely got to see them interact before they got together. in a way, fanon solangelo is my otp, but canon solangelo just feels like its done for the sake of pairing every possible character up.
