Both Amias and Ellis are immortal beings from around the 12th century, who happens to be mages! Both have a checkered past and are rivals, though not really to Amias who secretly admirers her.

In the beginning both them and two others named Rainard and Melitta were apprentices under a great mage, who made them immortal to forever spread his teachings. But out of disdain for his teachings, Amias betrayed them all, which in turn created a great war that killed Melitta, and their master.

On the eve of their masters death, he made Ellis and Rainard swear to kill Amias and those that follow him. From that point onward, they would go throughout history trying to do so. Ellis and Amias themselves would run into eachother fairly frequently more than he and Rainard, and each time, Ellis' perception on the man would change. Who knows what will happen?

These two pieces of them are them in the renaissance where theyve run into eachother yet again, however the circumstances are different. Ellis has picked up art despite her masters teachings forbidding it. And Amias has been helping humanity in anyway he can, despite Ellis believing hes doing everything but that.
