Ace Pixies Are Canon

I decided to make a Neverland blog because I can't stop thinking about these people (mostly Zarina and Capt. Hook). Currently, it's mostly about the Disney films (sorry :/)

I've got headcanons, AUs and a lot of thoughts.

And Memes, of course.

Zarina: In your opinion, what’s the height of stupidity?

Vidia: *turning to Tinkerbell* How tall are you?

James: We need to get through this locked door. Tink, give me your credit card. 

 Tink: Here. 

 James, pocketing it: Thanks. Zarina, kick down the door.

Tink, at a restaurant: You guys should get the orange soda, it's amazing.

Vidia: Okay

Waiter: Can I get you guys anything to drink?

Tink: Orange soda, please!

Vidia: I'll have the strawberry soda.

Zarina: Me too, strawberry soda.

Tink:

Tinkerbell: So that’s my plan.

Zarina: Are you alright with constructive criticism? I don’t want to sound mean.

Tinkerbell: No, go ahead, I want to hear it.

Zarina: It fucking sucks.

Tinkerbell: That’s not constructive criticism.

Tinkerbell: hey Vidia, can I have your number?

When Peter Pan and Hook started fighting each other, Zarina was always there to help out and help come up with plans, as well as take on Peter when James was out of action. Sometimes they’d fight him two on one, leaving the Lost Boys to the rest of the crew.

However, when Tinkerbell started helping Peter, Zarina would challenge her instead, keeping the fairy magic and everything away from the others. It was also personal for Zarina; Zarina believed that Tinkerbell and the other fairies were hypocrites for letting Tink get away with experiments with Lost Things but never letting Zarina explore Pixie Dust as she wanted to. 

James doesn’t betray Zarina and so she stays with James and the Pirates. Tink and the other fairies still defeat them but now Zarina stays with the pirates and goes on adventures. ​

They’ll sometimes attack the fairies and attempt to take things they need but most of the time they go to other places. ​

When Tink and the others took their ship, Zarina and James were found by Smee and the Jolly Roger crew and taken in; Zarina was kept secret for a while because James didn’t want to risk them trying to harm her (also because he wanted to be captain again). Eventually they decide to reveal her, once James is in a position of high enough authority and feels secure enough that they won’t try anything. ​

When they finally revealed Zarina, Zarina proved herself capable by beating anyone who said anything against her and James threatening anyone who had anything else to say ​

He and Zarina eventually become co-captains of the Jolly Roger and sail the seas together, pillaging and plundering and coming up with schemes together. James slowly reveals that he is actually a blood thirsty pirate but Zarina is also becoming darker and more apathetic to harming people. Zarina becomes a sort of mascot for the Jolly Roger; they even carve a fairy on the front of the ship. Although sometimes they act up, the crew do genuinely respect Zarina and James and know that they’re the best captains they could have. ​

Zarina is fascinated by James' harpsichord and always asked him to play for her in the evenings. She thought it was beautiful - the fairies don't have any instruments like that and it's so interesting! James is flattered and loves playing for her to see her reactions and get praise.

She insists he try to teach her to play, but she can only play a few keys at a time. At the beginning, he would play most of the song and she would have one or two keys she would jump on at certain times (like a triangle player). She eventually learns to play a simple song by jumping on the different keys and is very proud of herself.

When James and Zarina would talk, James would get her to talk about Pixie Dust and the Hollow and everything but would also just ask about her. Then he'd realise he was getting off topic and go back to trying to manipulate her, but would always get distracted and fascinated by her.

While there have been a few crews of pirates in Neverland, there have been very few Neverland Pirates; one of the only known real Neverland Pirates being James Hook.

He was actually born in Neverland, although he grew up in the Human Realm. His mother was a Pirate who managed to find Neverland and made truces with some of the other groups of citizens.

James grew up hearing stories of Neverland from his mother but believed them to be just that, as she had retired pirating by the time he went to school.

The other pirates get along fine in Neverland and even enjoy it there but, other than James, it doesn't feel like home to them. James finds the island welcoming and, even though he hadn't been there before, it felt familiar to him.

Although he never manages to recreate his mother's truces quite as well due to his past transgressions (and continued transgressions) towards the others, he does manage to become somewhat friendly with them and gain some level of trust – to the point that he can trade with them and is even welcomed on some occasions.​

The Neverland Merfolk were denizens of Atlantis, like most other Merfolk, but an unknown amount of time ago managed to find Neverland and decided not to leave.

Although they're very similar in most regards to the citizens of Atlantis, the magic of the Neverland has changed them - their teeth are sharper, they're slightly less human looking than the Atlanteans, they have very different attitudes towards death and their emotions can seem unusual to non-Neverland peoples. ​

I also think that Neverland Fairies should get to be a little monstrous and less human-looking. As a treat.

Pointy ears, pointy teeth, etc.

But it would also be cool if their appearance showed something about their Talent, other than their clothes.

 Light Fairies are shimmery and seem to glow, Water Fairies can seem translucent at times, etc.

Animal Fairies have animal characteristics maybe?

Neverland Fairies are generally non-binary or gender non-conforming (by human standards).

Fairies pick and choose their gender identities and pretty much do what they want. They're pretty much immortal and live quite a long time so some like to experiment, although they still stick to their colour coded outfits.

Neverland fairies reproduce asexually (canon) so most are asexual.

A few may be demi, and they all have the ability to have sex, but most never feel a need to do so.

However, quite a few are capable of romantic feelings and will enter romantic relationships, although there are still many that never wish to. QPRs are also common.
