8 months and one cut later....we have a bob! Finally a bob! :D
Tips for a slightly-less-painful growing out process :)
1. Trim sparingly; as frequently or as infrequently as you choose. Main focus is to eliminate split ends. 2. Avoid heat! ; this is very important as the more heat you use the more split ends and breakage you will experience. 3. Skip washes; obviously shower but you should aim for the least hair washes you can get away with. I suggest a dry shampoo if you suffer with greasy hair but even skipping one day between washes will help :) Remember: your hair needs it's own natural oils. 4. Set goals; better to think short term rather than long term so set yourself small goals every few months. Pinterest is a great source of inspiration. 5. Products: the products you should be using will depend on what your hair needs. For instance if you have dry hair then moisturising products and hair masks are a good idea. You may even want to look into sulphate and silicon free hair products. Overall the focus is to keep your hair healthy :)
