BUILD CHEATS I USE

ROOM SIZE 

The only thing that differentiates a big house to a small house is the sizes of each room and the amount of rooms

When building a house, I usually have the front door lead into the living room

I place the front door as well as windows wherever I like (you can always move them later)

FURNITURE SPACING

I like to place basic items that go in each room to make sure I have space for everything

If there isn’t enough space for the furniture, make the room bigger! :)

Since this is a house for a large number of sims, I’ve used a 3 seater couch as well as a 2 seater

I like my staircases to be in the living room but you can also make a separate room for it

The next thing I do is add on another room for the kitchen/dining 

I used an arch way instead of a door but a door works as well 

I like my dining room to be in the same room as the kitchen but you can also separate the two rooms

FURNITURE SIZES 

Similar to the living room couches, you’d most likely pick a large dining table to be able to seat all the sims living in the house

Again, if there isn’t enough space for the furniture, make the room bigger (: 

DECORATING 

The most important thing is to get the sizing and basic furniture (couches, dining tables etc) down before you start decorating 

If you’re anything like me, you probably want to start adding as much clutter as possible but if you do that first, you’ll find you don’t have any space for the important stuff 

When everything has it’s place, begin decorating and filling up any extra space you don’t like

I am the original writer of The Sims 4 version of the 100 Baby Challenge; however, the first version of the challenge was created for The Sims 2 by Amiisays. (Thank you to @blindingechoes for this info!)

Objective

Your objective for this challenge is to give birth to 100 children in as few generations as possible. The challenge ends as soon as the 100th child is born or if you fail the challenge for breaking rules.

ROOM SHAPE:

I started off with a 4x4 room square room. Rooms look much nicer when they aren’t a complete square. To get rid of the square shape, I added the wardrobe from Get Together. 

BLANK WALLS  

I dislike having blank walls so I made sure to cover most of it with paintings and wall decor. I also like to ‘layer’ my wall decor by putting paintings and wall hangings on top of each other. At the end of the bed I added some plants to take up the remaining space. 

WALLS WITH WINDOWS 

I sometimes add wall decor to windows as well. I added post cards and a sign to the window to add decor to an area that would be blank. I don’t use curtains in most of my builds since I like the natural light that comes in. 

The wall to the left of the desk has a corkboard with post cards, a protest sign and a calendar I added. This helps the room feel more lived in. Behind the corkboard I added a poster which brings in color to that corner of the room. 

Although paint cans don’t belong in a bedroom, adding additional decor gives you more items to play with to make each room unique

Don’t be afraid to use the same items more than once. If you feel it’s too repetitive, use a different swatch.

FLOORS

You can choose to use a carpet but I decided to use the ‘messy’ clutter that came with the Parenthood GP. Next to the mirror I added some clutter to fill up the space. 

I don’t mind if certain items (like the mirror) aren’t functional because it’s likely another room will contain the same item that is functional.
