Under the title “Origens”, this year’s exhibition brings together 19 emerging and established artists who share one passion: art created with code, algorithms, and autonomous systems.
"Origens" brings into dialogue the legacy of the pioneers of computer art of the 1970s with original and contemporary creations by nineteen invited artists, in a strictly black and white format, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the publication of the magazine "Computer Graphics and Art" (1976–1978).
I present beNoise (bi-noise). It's a generative art diptych that explores duality screen/paper through chromatic inversion.
Based on the piece Gyrating forms (CAG magazine, 1977), the work unfolds as a series of plotted captures where white on black alternates with its absolute opposite, establishing a dialogue of contrasts.
The composition is articulated through a web of random lines that expand and contract, capturing a calculated dynamism. These traces orbit constantly, revolving around a circular form that acts as a core of visual gravity. The plotter’s stroke translates code into static matter, transforming mathematical abstraction into a flow of cyclic movement. This snapshot, where programmed chance and geometry converge, is a reinterpretation of the design aesthetics of the 1970s.
