jealous sirius is like my favourite thing, here you go:

sirius definitely has a problem with jealousy and being borderline possessive

and it’s not a cute thing at all, it’s arguably one of the worst traits he has

he gets upset if remus as much as talk to a person who seems slightly interested in him and he can’t stop paying attention

he will break the conversation or interfere if he can, but if not, he will just brood in the corner and fume. it gets his blood boiling in the worst way

he has thrown quite a few punches and gotten into a fair amount of fights just because a guy was flirting with remus. and yes. sirius is the one who hits first. every time.

and when remus is back from literally just having a friendly conversation with someone, sirius will immediately question him about whatever they were talking about, what he thinks about the person he was talking to - by the time they’ve been dating for a bit, remus knows the drill, and it is so annoying

remus usually ends up not speaking with sirius for a couple days if he’s being especially ridiculous. which only makes sirius more pissed cause why is he at fault? like 9 times out of 10 this is the reason behind their fights

generally i think there’s levels to jealousy and most of them really are unhealthy and sirius is definitely on that side of the coin. it’s something he needs to work on cause it’s really not a good thing

remus, on the other hand, isn’t a very jealous person by nature. he is, however, really insecure. so rather than getting jealous about someone flirting with sirius, he would just get insecure at first. the longer their relationship, the less that happens cause remus knows how to read sirius - he’s never interested

he used to be very jealous of James - in a friendship way. he saw the friendship james and sirius had and he was so bitter cause he knew that they’re each other’s best friends. and so they don’t consider him a best friend. he’ll never be the level of James or Sirius for the other, so he was so jealous about them
