Well isn’t that nice…

I just.. got a little bored and experimented, alright.

And a little morbid. What’d that spider ever do to you?

I woke up and it was on my pillow. I don't cuddle with bugs.

I enjoy controlled loneliness. I like wandering around the city alone. I’m not afraid of coming back to an empty flat and lying down in an empty bed. I’m afraid of having no one to miss, of having no one to love.

He blinked, deciding to avert his eyes while she took the bite. If anything, he was wondering what he should eat next… chocolate pudding, or bagels, or mac & cheese or —

After portioning out some chicken and potatoes onto her plate, Scarlet settled into the seat. "Is that what they've been saying?" She grinned, pushing her food around her plate. It was always interesting, asking people if they'd heard the gossip. Nothing in particular, just the question. Either they had something exciting to share, or they ended up confused, and both results amused her. "Been studying lots, then?"

His eyes widened, his hands almost shaking. He quickly grabbed the sandwich and gently placed it into her hands, his cheeks turning slightly pink during the process. "Ah - here! It - it’s all yours… " 

At the expression on Luke's face, Scarlet raised her eyebrows, taking the sandwich from him. She had to bite her tongue not to comment on how nervous he seemed, since she felt like that would only make it worse. "Lovely, thanks," she replied, before taking a bite from one of the corners.

Luke gulped, shocked Scarlet was even talking to him. Most of his close friends were actually family members, so it was always a surprise when he got noticed from outsiders. Nonetheless, he gave her a smile, nervously replying, "h-hey, uh … well, you should - you should try it! It’s not so bad… I don’t, I don’t think so." 

Give me a bite, then. Scarlet grinned as she replied, holding her hand out towards him. She wasn't particularly interested in trying the sandwich, but his nervousness was endearing her to him, and she was curious how he'd react.

Luke squirted ketchup onto his sandwich, noticing someone had sat down in front of him.

Scarlet looked at the sandwich in front of Luke and furrowed her eyebrows, before looking up at him critically.

Well then turn around, won’t you? [She drags her friend over to a nearby couch, sitting down and pulling her to sit as well.]

Heaving a put out sigh, Scarlet went along with Olivia's pushing, sitting down right next to her. How are you going to do this??

It’s a date then. So long as you tell me where you’d like me to take you.

I'd like you to take me somewhere interesting, but sneaking into the kitchens'll be good enough, if you can't come up with anything.

[She shakes her head at her friend with a fond smile, rolling her eyes playfully.] Where would you like me to start?

What am I even going to do with you, Scar…

I just fell asleep! I was up last night studying and I just.. woke up there.
