i never get scared about my art being scraped my an ai cuz there's already way too much shit in the ai. what do those ai companies focus more on? creating the most "polished" pieces lacking any asethetical "weirdness" and meant to appeal to the most common denominator audience. that means it's most likely gonna spit out shit that either looks like bootleg pixar or sakimichan porn. therefore if i ever try to make it "mimic" my art style i'm gonna be finding some stray japanese pixiv artist particles in it that don't fit in at all. it's never gonna perfectly "plagiarize" me despite possibly having some of my work somewhere on it along with millions of other artists' stuff, because western pixar-style shit and big anime titties and piss-yellow ghibli parodies are all those silicon valley dudes and the ai bros who worship them ever even care about. idgaf man let's have fun drawing

the concept of that AWAY (Are We Art Yet?) group sounded pretty interesting and cool on paper (basically a collective of generative-image AI programmers who are trying to find and perform ethical ways of using the software to create art) and i thought they would've added some VERY interesting conversations on the topic, and i'll admit i DO think some of the art they've... materialized is way cooler than the overpolished dall-e slop that comes up whenever you think "ai art". but unfortunately the whole group seems to be extremely buddy-buddy with the i-suggest-forcefem "pedophilia is transfem culture" cliques all over tumblr and one of AWAY's most prominent members even programmed an entire alternate social media website for these people that's already full of incest rape and pedo apologia and kinkposting so uh. fuck em

worst indie game devlog video i ever found was from some guy who wanted to make an rpg like classic late 90's/early 2000's japanese anime rpgs. except he believed that modern anime rpgs were being ruined by "english localizers", used a shitton of wojak images in his presentation to prove his point, and then said that after writing down the game's story/dialogue he would then proceed to translate it all into japanese using his knowledge of the language and THEN back to english in order to create, in his own words, "the most authentic anime rpg ever made for english-speaking audiences" which he said would "save anime rpgs". this was all from a white guy probably in his 30's who most certainly did not have a single lick of east-asian heritage in his genes
