but it’s hard for me to believe the wta didn’t know exactly what it was doing when it made that change. if a player ever wanted to challenge whether this policy is even legal, she couldn’t simply appeal her own case through the sport’s arbitration system. she’d have to challenge the policy itself in a florida courtroom, in a state whose laws and judges are far less favorable to exactly the kind of woman this policy is to affect. this is beyond disgusting and just shows how little they seem to care about the wellbeing of their players.

and the child who gets flagged is a girl who’s lived her whole life as a girl, who came up through juniors as a girl, and who may learn something deeply personal about her own body from a cheek swab and a phone call from a stranger. she’s the one who pays for it, processed by a policy that was never meant to protect her.

GR: No battery, no power, frankly it was dangerous, when I got to the top of Eau Rouge, I had zero, zero battery. I was going slower than a Formula 2 car and I got overtaken by three drivers.
