Welcome!
You can call me Roachy. Or Roach. This blog is going to be dedicated to my stories, with occasional fanart.
I consider myself a feminist, and I write with a focus on both character and sociological analysis. I find it fascinating to examine different ways someone's outer identity can affect their inner world, giving me a better structure in understanding humanity. My relationship with gender is rather complicated, but I could best describe myself as an androgynous woman. Most of the couples I write about, are my attempt at redifining heterosexuality through the deconstruction of gender norms.
Sci-fi (retrofuturism in particular), fantasy, space opera and psychological fiction are my favorite genres. Add esoteric or surrealist elements, and mm...! I'm also deeply fascinated by liminal spaces, there's something about their nostalgic element, that make me feel just as unsettled as comforted. I also see myself as quite spiritual, so I tend to avoid strict materialism in my writing.
• The main passion project I'm working on is Entropy, a space opera comic series which includes the themes of: grief, loneliness, co-dependence, societal expectations, spirituality and abuse
— ENTROPY
Antoni, burdened with grief, embarks on a journey across the Milky Way in search of the mystical anomaly Cynthion, believing it's connected to his father's death. However, with his home cluster, Pleiades, in conflict with the esoteric organization — The Sagittarian Union, his story grows on a scale bigger than he'd ever imagined.
