“Well several years ago I fell in love with a human named Greg. Together we had a child. He’s the Steven you’re talking about. In order for him to exist I had to give up my physical form and give him my gem. I left him a gem deplication potion in case he ever wanted to bring me back. So here I am.”

“A gem…duplication potion?” Aquamarine stared at the other gem for a few moments before sighing. “If you had something like that…no wonder your little rebellion was so resilient,” the small gem admitted, frowning as she thought about it. “Wait…so when did you come back, then?”

wearing a bra is a personal choice just like wearing any other garment of clothing is. no one is under any obligation to harness their breasts—they are not being “disrespectful” or anything else negative by not wearing a bra. you, however, are being disrespectful if you give people who prefer to go braless shit for doing so.

“You just…’came back’? Hm,” the small gem commented, frowning as she used her wings to lift herself up, slowly circling around the other gem, examining her.

     Tone slightly raised as he soon stared his mother down with slight anger in      him. Ever since he was born, he’d been compared to her. Either in regards to      leadership or in general. It had gotten to the point where Steven couldn’t justify      his existences without holding anger towards his mother.

     He may have never known her, but what he did know … Made him see her in      a different light. With a hand clutching over his Gem his gaze met her’s once      more. Tears lacing his eyes as he felt the waves of emotion’s go through him.

          ❝ It wasn’t fair … I’ve always wanted to know you,              but when I find out the truth of you from those              outside of the Gem’s && dad … I find myself              wishing I hadn’t looked. ❞

     It was then the tear’s fell.            His gaze soon shifted as he wiped them away.                He had to be stronger && listen to her, but it was hard.

“I want you to understand Steven. I never wanted any of this for you. I just wanted you to be my son. To live a normal life and to grow up and make your own decisions. Learn how to ride a bike, go to school and go to your first dance. I just wanted you to be you.”

     As she explained … Steven knew he was frowning. Not at what she was saying,      but because he was the one who had made everything complicated. Not that      he hadn’t tried to accept what he had been raised to understand, but because      the Gem he had inspired to be … Told him exactly what he didn’t want to hear.      That he was better then her && she was not the one he should inspire to be.

     It took him a bit to regain his composer, but he managed. Breathing in deep      breaths as he soon met her gaze once more. The frown remained, but he didn’t      feel anything negative, as he looked at her. 

          ❝ I wish I could have heard that growing up …              Maybe I’d not be so angry or scared, if I had. ❞

     He didn’t move from her touch, but rather leaned into it. The comfort it brought      was all he wanted, but he knew his emotions were crashing like waves. Without      much of a need for an invitation … Steven hugged his mom. The tears returned      && flowed down his cheek’s. 

She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. How on earth could he think such things about himself? She saw the world through his eyes. Saw what kind of person he was and the amazing things he did.  “You’re more than good enough.”
