The goddess had giggled when being swooped off her feet. It felt like centuries since she had last been swept off her feet. Her eyes never left his for a second and she wished she could not blink. It was soon that she found herself in a familiar place, one that it was clearly Hades’. They must have been in the isle as she never had been in a place that was so cold and murky. Before she could have another moment to think about what life must have been when separated, she was distracted by a feeling she had missed. Smiling and getting lost in the moment of pleasure. Her eyes closed and a big grin appeared in her face as she relaxed back into the couch, her hand reaching up to the back of his head leukemia she used to.

Hades let her pull herself away and then moved closer to her, simply cuddling up to her like a new puppy who wanted any affection it could get. “A lot, and nothing at all.” And it was true, with the lengths of the lives they’ve lived so far and how long they would live? In the grand scheme of things she hadn’t missed much at all, but she had. Mal, Hadie, Evie, he had…a lot to tell her about, he’d basically gone into a spiral and been in a haze the first few years after pushing her away and lying and telling her that he didn’t want to see her anymore.

Wanting to see what all was new and what all had stayed the same. She began to recognize that certain look in his eyes. She dropped her palms and held his before suggesting. “Maybe meeting in the middle of a bunch of partying teenagers is not the best reuniting place.”

He almost melted into her touch, it had been so long that he’s only been able to dream, to hope that he would see her again, that he would be able to feel the comfort that just being near her brought. The only thing that kept him from basically dissolving into a puddle right where they stood? The feeling of eyes turning towards them as this bight spring flower fearlessly put her hands on his face and teased him. At her comment, he abruptly straightened himself, having partly followed her hands with his head when she moved them to grab ahold of his own; to which he responded by gripping onto hers like he didn’t plan on ever letting go again.

“Then let’s go.” He stated, in one fell swoop he let go of her hands and moved so that one was behind her shoulders and the other swept her knees up as he turned and then they vanished in an eruption of blue flames and reappeared in the makeshift underground lair he’d made his home since he had been on the isle. He didn’t even say anything or put her down before he sunk onto the couch and pressed his face into the crook of her neck, he wasn’t really great with words when it came to how he really and truly felt. He tended to make a mess of things when he tried to vocalize how he felt.

But when she holds him like this, it’s hard to let the logical anxiety speak. It’s hard to think of anything but the flowery scent of her hair, the way she desperately grasps onto him, the heat of her body against his naturally cool one.. and the fact that she is obviously crying.

Had he done something? He had to have. She had to have hated it here. He’d surely hurt her feelings or…

He doesn’t give a fuck about the shirt. What he gives a fuck about is what’s hurting her. And hurting whoever hurt her.

Hearing his comment of possibly staining his shirt, she quietly nodded her head and somewhat pulled away. Her arms were still attached to him, but her face was now separated. Glancing up to Hades, her eyes puffy and still full of tears not even attempting to wipe them away. Her mouth opened for a moment, wanted to tell him everything but not a single syllable could escape.

The offer to help she took into consideration, but what could he do? All that had happened has been done and none of it could be reversed. Still he could possibly pay for all the money she’d lose from her scholarship. But that would mean she would have to tell him why she did not qualify for it.

Simply saying ‘I can’t qualify for the Eternal Maidenhood Scholarship’ would not only share such embarrassing details but also bring up questions she was not ready to answer.

Now certainly she knew if she told him to grind Apollo down to sand, he’d do it without hesitation. Although the pink goddess did not believe that was the proper thing to do—especially without any sort of explanation.

He feels like a giant stone, all cold and uncomfortable, untouchable. The emotions came in an uproar, luckily she had not been far from his office. She had spoken no words, just went into the embrace.

By now she could feel her once short hair become longer in length, while she listened silently to the beating in his chest. Her eyes shut tight, wanting all bad memories to disappear in thin air but they did not.

Not only did the terrible memories of that night come flooding in, but the fears that followed. The possible lost in her scholarship if anyone were to find out. Why even her reputation as a goddess would be damaged before she even passes teenage-hood.

If there was one thing that she was unluck of was, it was getting the news. She was always the last of many to find out of anything. It was a few months ago that she had just then found out about a few children from the Isle coming to Auradon. News that at first filled the goddess with hope, but things were clarified to her by Hermes. There was no sign of Hades whatsoever.

She had returned back to her garden, finding no joy in any other part of the world without Hades. Persephone began to count all the flowers, then all the petals on them. She could walk in her garden blindfolded and tell anyone what flower she stood by. When she got bored of that, she counted the blades of grass. A much more tideos task that took more time and patience.

One fall’s afternoon she was counting the blades of grass, casually interrupted by whichever leaf fell. However her work was abruptly stopped when Hermes had come rushing to her. At first the God talked so quickly, she couldn’t comprehend a single word he said. The goddess did no questioning however, when she heard the name of ‘Hades’ she quickly had rushed right towards the isle.
