Trumps executive order to ban gender affirming care mainly fearmongers about trans boys not being able to give birth or breast feed and calls transitional surgery "female genital mutilation".

trans women get painted as dangerous predators, infiltrating womens spaces and spreading our dangerous idealogy to children. we are the shorthand for predatory gender havers.

trans men get painted as poor, misled kids being duped into destroying their bodies. theyre the shorthand for the supposed lives that gender ideology is destroying.

both of these are different ways to misgender us. both of these are different ways to discredit and dehumanize us. its a way to enforce the gender roles that we are trying so hard to shuck off. both of these rhetorical tactics are important to the messaging around trans people right now. i think acting like either trans women or trans men are the "main targets" is counter-productive at best.

The grass is not always greener on the other side, especially not when we're talking about marginalized communities. Just because you personally haven't experienced living as a certain marginalized identity doesn't mean people who do have it easier. I wish people who say shit would learn some really basic critical thinking skills rather than going "me me me all about me I'm the most oppressed everyone else has a cake walk and is pretending to be oppressed to mock me specifically!!!!"

Like Jesus Christ grow the fuck up and learn that other marginalized people have lives outside of your perception, and it is imperative you believe them when they tell you about it. If you don't you're no better than cishets who say transphobia isn't real because DEI pronouns on emails or white people that say that American racism ended when slavery was abolished.
