We have a video shoot + show THIS SUNDAY at @theamproom! $5 • 21+ Piñata Protest “Crusty Cumbia” music video plot: One day, as Mr. Piñata is happily walking down the sidewalk in San Anto’s Westside, he comes across a backyard quinceañera party where la quinceañera (Jessica) and her friends are having a great time breaking open a piñata. Suddenly, Jessica and her friends spot Mr. Piñata and Jessica shouts “¡agárrenlo!”. Jessica and her friends start chasing after Mr. Piñata. Mr. Piñata doesn’t hesitate and starts running for his life! He eventually runs into The Amp Room to hide. He closes the door behind him, finally catching his breath thinking he is safe— little did he know he just walked into a Piñata Protest show... The song “Crusty Cumbia” is all about the diverse peeps that come out to PP shows, from punks, to vaquero to cholos, from new school to old. We’re asking everyone to dress up either super cowboy or super punk. Pero si no quieres, no hay pedo. Just come have fun! c):{D

This Friday at @labotanicasa, there will be two free screenings of a San Antonio made short film called “Love Transcending” which features two Piñata Protest songs. The film was written, directed, and stars Jessica Marcela who will also be playing a lead role in Piñata Protest’s next music video being filmed this Sunday. The screenings start at 8PM & 9PM (at La Botanica)
