let’s all get back into the x files w mama

hey guysss so unfortunately the rumors are true and im leaving the narrative. Buttt the good news is my absence will create such a gaping hole in your lives that it will become a sort of presence itself, and so in a way it will kind of be like i never left! But i am. Leaving just to be clear.

unfortunately I understand dana scully severely because if I were a twentysomething year old starting a new job in a creepy basement with pictures of bones and ufos all over the walls and my extraordinarily hot coworker immediately started yammering about extraterrestrials I would also have no choice but to tie my fate with his forevermore

what they don’t tell you about being a writer is that returning to a long fic you haven’t touched in a while means rereading 50k words first because you don’t actually remember your own fics that well

the thing is mulder ripped his heart out a long time ago and is always tossing it up into the sky and juggling it and wordlessly trusts scully to catch it when he’s not paying attention but scully very carefully and quietly pressed her heart into mulder’s hands soon after they met and he didn’t quite realize it even while he’s holding it and carrying it with him

i know i say this often but i cannot say it loud enough: people who comment on fics, people who reblog posts and engage with fanworks are the people who generate community and without them fandom would be nowhere, so truly thank you for your presence, you make the world go 'round <3
