In public knowledge au/nations revealed au, I imagine that people and academics have a vague understanding/details of the existence of the nation personifications but no actual way to communicate or investigate because the governments are afraid of Nations leaking sensitive information so they were gate kept. But if you found them in the wild, Nations are not really into hiding what they are. So you can just ask.

I imagine that academics who release their “research” on Nations biology, culture and history were kinda bullshitting since they didn’t know the full story. But since the papers are one of the earliest, it kinda sticks. People think that how the Nations are which creates a whole bunch of misunderstanding and misinformation.

Then the cold war ended and the age of digitisation began. Nations become something like a celebrity. They use social media now and contracting them has never been easier. Some researchers are now able to do a better investigation and debunk some claims, but because the earlier consensus was so popular, it’s hard to expand the truth.

Now it’s 2015, and France, England and Prussia announce that they will be in Belgium to watch 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo reenactment. This gets people talking. Many ask them to join the reenactment. Many more theorise the strategy they might have used.

Everyone was excited.

Then the day comes. Now join with a few more Nations who participated in the battle. The boys are in their military uniforms, on their horses and guns ready.

The reenactment started.

Camera pans to their fight. France runs like an idiot while everyone jumping on France, with bare hands. No strategy. No plan. Just the most pathetic fistfights.
