HEY YOU! Ever wanna read IT but with Henry’s fucked up comments AND drawings sprawled throughout? WELL, NOW IS YOUR CHANCE BECAUSE I’m doing just that. She more than anyone knows that emotions can be overwhelming especially when very few are attainable. El can imagine that at one time he wouldn’t need to love, or be sad, he was an angry, dangerous beast at the beginning of their story. “It’s okay.” It’s practically a whisper as she leans forward and wraps arms around his neck, pulling him close to squeeze him tight.
She holds him close, nose pressing into his neck, her grip is unrelenting, she’ll have to be removed. Eleven doesn’t know why she’s holding onto him like this, like he may slip away, but she thinks she’s squeezing the feelings out of him. Making sure that he knows that she loves him, something that is an unfamiliar concept for the both of them, but she feels it may be when your heart swells, climbing up into your throat, forcing you to reach out and touch. @wearshuman

He still doesn’t look at her, want so desperately for her to have been passed and long gone, so he could ignore her and move on with his day ( yes, he’s really a douchebag ), but he can tell alive from passed on. And she is very much alive.
He clears his throat, eyes finally budging to look at her own wrist, heart beating fast. He didn’t want to believe it, the fact that A, another experiment has found him, and B, that there was another experiment at all. He feels shitty for ever having left at all without being able to bring anyone with him. Unfortunately, he was kept away from everyone- he was important, could communicate with another world.
He takes in a deep breath, eyes shutting almost angrily, like he doesn’t want to be there. Because he DOESN’T. “ I-…. fuck. ” It doesn’t even cross his mind that she’s a CHILD and should watch his language. But he remembers her. He remembers when they brought her in, she was just a child, it was a little over twelve years ago, had to have been. “ Did anyone follow you here, kid ?? You still runnin’ from them ?? Because you know anyone who got out of there alive escaped, not a single one of us would have been let out those doors. ”
She doesn’t remember anyone from the lab, she was so young when they started going missing. The only memories she holds, are recent, tests, workers, the room, the isolation tank, the demogorgon. He’s avoiding her gaze, even as she reveals who she is, and that alone worries the younger. He may bolt, she could stop him, but she doesn’t want to have to. She drags her eyes from his face to look at the tattoos on his skin. El can tell he didn’t get them there, she didn’t know people got them outside of the lab. Brown eyes shoot back to his face whenever that word slips from his mouth again, she doesn’t understand the importance of it, there’s no context even surrounding it. “Not following.” They’re looking, though. She doesn’t even think about the fact that they may still be looking for him if he hadn’t pointed out the possibility.

He sighs, eyes rolling gently. He hates when people point it out, reminds him of torture and pain, a time that he’d rather forget. It’s the only one he doesn’t like. Had the child pointed out any of the other ones, it wouldn’t have been such a big deal, but it just had to be that one. He quickly covers it with his other hand, eyes averting from hers and somewhere else, anywhere but hers. “ Just a stupid tattoo I got when I was younger. ” It was always the same excuse.
She can’t believe that, not with the way it matches the numbers on her skin perfectly. A long moment passes as wide eyes fixate on the tattoos, that litter his skin. Hesitant fingers hook in the elastic of the navy wind breaker and she pulls it up her to her elbow, to hold out the stained skin 0 1 1 reads on her wrist. “Eleven.” She points at herself, eyes searching his features for anything.

She doesn’t realize that she’s practically standing on top of him until it’s mentioned, her feet shuffle back. Her eyes are glued to the skin on his arm that signals that he’s long before her. “Two?” Her skin itches where her own tattoo lays on the skin of her wrist.
eleven: dad, this is my boyfriend, mike, and this is mike’s boyfriend, will.
hopper: hey! oh, wait, what’s the situation?
eleven: what do you mean?
hopper: how does this work?
eleven: mike is gay, but he’s straight for me, but he’s gay for will, and will’s really gay for mike. and we both love will.
