AHHHHH ALL OF YOUR PIGEONS (& THE EMIL?) ARE CUTE AF!!! <3 <3 If any of you ever do more doodle response/art meme asks in the future, that'd totally be awesome!! (Thumbs up x 1000)!! P.s. What art program and brush settings did Claire use for her drawing?
Yo, everybody! ^^/ Same anon who asked about the pigeons/handwriting. Can you include a typed transcription of what Antoine wrote? I was able to get some of it, but not all of it unfortunately. I'm sorry. OTL Thanks everyone for humoring me and my original odd ask! If you ask me, all of ya'll's birds are pretty coo~ ;D
-> Actually emil, I don't trust pigeonsHow d'ya even darw feet??I always feel kinda sorry for people who ask to see my handwriting bc half of france (???) can understand it, but naturally being a cyrptic jerk who screams like always in comfot is all I could ??stair??fer?? - Antoine

Could you type samurai jack characters if any of you've seen it... I think jack is an istj but then again i'm not sure
i haven't watched samurai jack in a VERY long time... i was rolling this ask over a lot in my head and i'd be more willing to accept ISTJ than anything else... he seems a little bit Fe sometimes though maybe? you probably are more up to date with things than i am though lol.- claire

Sometimes I doubt my type because i dont act like most entps around me, I know that doesn't mean i'm not an entp but it's just weird to me that i dont act like most others? i get mistyped as a xnfjs and as an intp by a lot of people but i'm pretty sure im an entp and how i was raised makes me less outspoken than other entps, and i was wondering if you guys ever doubt your type or are you pretty confident?
I do pretty frequently really. I’ve considered that I could potentially be an ENTP, but I think that it might be because I’m very severely mentally ill and tend to act more stereotypically ENTP when I’m dipping into mania. But, realistically, I know the functions very, very well, and I know that I’m an INTJ.
-Simon
I do it all the time. Simon can testify how most my breakdowns, if not all, end up in me wondering my deep sense of personhood and getting all “i’m not good enough to be an ENTJ”. Specially because I compare myself in terms of my own ambitious plan, and in terms of other ENTJs notable success.
Self confidence is a life time road to travel, in my opinion. And seriously, the worst you can do in compare yourself to the stereotype of your own type. Functions are like ice buckets, sometimes they’re rectangular, sometimes they come in shapes, but they all make ice. You do you. (Easier said than done, but I’m someone who’s learning after a lifetime of abuse and confidence/self appreciation issues, and believe me, its possible).
- Antoine
i actually typed comfortably as ENFP for a long time, even as i understood the difference between functions. executive dysfunction is my middle name and i am a characteristically disorganized and lazy person, so i thought that was just tert Te and i mistook my Fe for Fi because a lot of the way i handle my Fe is from adapting morals from people, i suppose.
i never doubt that i'm ENTP, but i am kind of put off a lot of the time by the 'impression' that i understand we ENTPs have? i don't think of myself as a harsh person, or that i don't prioritize the feelings of others. it's good to remember that you as an individual ALWAYS trump what a 'typical' outline might say. - claire
i was wondering if any of you can type the characters from the 2014 movie "pride"? it's a bit of an obscure movie so i understand if you cant!
i think all three of us have come to the unfortunate conclusion that none of us can! /v\ i apologize. if i ever happen to see it i will make sure to amend this post though!- claire
Hey everyone! Who are your favorite fictional character(s) OF ALL TIME and what are their types? If you're able to, what's one word/quote that highlights why you're so drawn to them?
Probably think she's already won. But she underestimates me...just as she always did. This is just starting, Lotus. I'll bring you to justice -- if I have to follow you to the ends of the earth. That’s a heavy call. I think mine would have to be Steve Rogers? But I also really, really like Helen Magnus and Kate Freelander from Sanctuary.
Steve Rogers (ISFJ) - “This isn’t freedom. This is fear.”Helen Magnus (ESFJ) - “Do you remember when you were small? You used to come into my room in the middle of the night. You’d crawl into my arms and you’d say, “Mummy, I’m afraid.” Ashley, I’m afraid.“Kate Freelander (ISFP) - "It’s funny. I always wondered what I would do if I ever figured out who killed my father. Turns out it’s not as black and white as I thought.”
- Simon
hoooough. that’s a tough question to answer. it’s hard for me to answer who my ‘favorites’ are for different reasons because i’ll tend to cycle through favorite narratives rather than singular characters, if that makes sense, but i’ll give it a try.Dale Cooper (Twin Peaks)- INFJRyouta Kawara (Hatoful Boyfriend) - ISFJDana Scully (The X-Files) - ISTJ
those are the ones that seem most… profound to me! i cycle through a lot of media and always find favorite characters here and there for each of them, but those are the ones that i’ve had a lasting fondness for. i don’t have quotes on hand because i haven’t went through any of those narratives in a while!
- claire
i’m going to take the liberty of not choosing favourite characters of all time, but characters who were some kind of... formative experience for me.
Steve Rogers (ISFJ) - “The price of freedom is high, it always has been, but its a price I’m willing to pay. And if I’m the only one so be it, but I’m willing to bet I’m not”
James Moriarty (ENTJ) - “In a world of locked rooms the man with the key is king, and honey you should see me in a crown.”
Enjolras, Les Miserables (ENTJ), and Mr. Fox (also ENTJ), from Fantastic Mr. Fox, both book and Wes Anderson film apply, but specially the latter.
Mr. Fox - “Because I’m a wild animal” // “I understand what you're saying, and your comments are valuable, but I'm gonna ignore your advice.” // “I don't know, but I have a possible theory. I think I have this thing where I need everybody to think I'm the greatest, and if they aren't completely knocked-out, dazzled, and kind of intimidated by me, then I don't feel good about myself.”
- Antoine

what does an isfp/infp with a developed Te look like?
Alright, so it’s the inferior function, so even though this is going to be a developed and healthy function, it’s still not going to be strong.
The best way I can put it is this: An IxFP with well-developed Te will probably be one of those people that labels things so they don’t really have to think about efficiency because it tires them out. They’re aware enough of their strengths and weaknesses that they make their surroundings able to do the work for them. They probably own an electronic label printer.
can you do the types by kinds of math? (i.e. statistics, calculus, geometry, etc.)
I love math... I'm going to do functions, though. I don't know enough different names of groups or where the lines are drawn.
Ni - CalculusNe - AlgebraSi - TrigonometrySe - GeometryTi - LogicTe - AnalysisFi - Computing, if you can count it as math.Fe - Statistics
Could you type Martin Luther King Jr. ?
I believe in the past I've typed him as an ENFJ.
I'm likely to trust someone else's intuition (given that i believe them to be knowledgeable on that subject) when i know nothing myself. what function would this correspond with? (just for frame of reference you've typed me as an fi dom in the past)
I don't know that I would necessarily align this with a function. Possibly Se? I think you'd just be a trusting person, which I don't necessarily link to MBTI (Though I'd say it's somewhat less likely with Ni/Si doms, so I do agree with my past evaluation).
can you explain more why sensing/intuition and thinking/feeling functions oppose each other? like how fe cannot exist with te and how si can't work with ni?
Yep
I'm not going to explain the entire stack (As in, why the dominant/auxiliary can't both be introverted, or both be judging, or whatever, or why you can't have two thinking functions in a stack), because I'm assuming you know since you asked something specific, but feel free to correct that if it's wrong.
So, the judging functions (Te, Ti, Fe, Fi, or the thinking/feeling functions) create your ability to understand input, and often to create goals.
The perceiving functions (Se, Si, Ne, Ni, or the sensing/intuition functions) create your ability to take in the input to be analyzed, and will generally predict the angle that comes in on (which is why people tend to say Se is present oriented, Si is past oriented, and Ne and Ni are future oriented -- The perceiving functions put a slant on how data is perceived).
The extroverted functions are geared outwards (To the world), and the introverted functions are geared inwards (To one's self). For someone to lack either introverted or extroverted functions in their ability to perceive or judge the world would make them completely unable to function.

Stop getting pissy at every single post that uses gender pronouns. L Not everything on tumblr is uwu so special and inclusive of every single person on the planet.
I'm literally never going to stop calling out transphobia. I did it at my university, I did it at my doctor's office, I did it at my workplace, and I'll damn well do it here.
What's a good way to type yourself if you've lived with depression for years whilst taking medications that affects one's ability to think/feel? The SNRIs make me less mental/sensory alert (i.e. sleep a lot) but yet, make me feel oddly super calm to the point that emotional "highs" and "lows" are foreign to me (even in terms of libido, not that was ever a huge loss). You guys don't run an ableist MBTI blog, so was wondering if you could help with my typing journey? Thanks if you can!
That's a difficult one, tbh.
For the emotional highs/lows, you'd probably be able to work around that, since having depression might involve itself in creating higher peaks and lower troughs. You'd probably just have to say "I'm not a dominant or auxiliary Fi user," and if someday you change medication, or get off the medication, and your thinking style changes, you may go back and look at it again.
The way I see it is that the only things that would really change is the intensity of functions. The general pattern of how you think would still be the same, so I don't know that it would impact Myers-Briggs too much.
You'll probably just find that you're not a FP type, especially a SFP type, if you evaluate the functions as you are now. Which I think is probably the best way to do it, and if your medication status changes, then you'll have to re-evaluate as you find necessary.
