They sorta helped?? But also not really. Im currently struggling to find a way to intertwine all of them into twiddlecrow, because it feels like all their themes conflict imo?? maybe thats just me, or its just because of my own interp of the four but, mm...
From what I read, they all have situations where they all could find understanding in eachother,, but how theyre approaching their own shit is what gets me.
With Twiddler, Im seeing a sort of polar opposite attraction thing while also being a "support and rehabilitation" situation. They both have similar mental struggles,, but are different enough where they can support eachother,, which I think would work with the three of them! But.. the problem is my Jonathan.
He is everything but rehabilitation. Sure he can support, but in the end he always twists the people around him into their worst. He is literally blessed by the spirit of all that is The bad of All humanity... It feels like anything that Twiddler could build up would be torn back down by Jon.
Not to mention.. Edward usually doesn't think he needs to get better, or even wants too.. which Jon would definitely get in the way of any attempts of betterment assisted by the Harvs.
And with Twocrow, I cant help but just.. not see Jon actually love them that much. Maybe Big Harv? But not Harvey imo. Sure they have had similar things going on through out their careers and share some mental themes but.. I cant see more connection than that atm. I cant see Jon showing any interest besides them being another study.. and while I could see the Harvs liking him, It just feels so one sided to me? Imo it could be nothing more but a revenge arc pairing.
Unfortunately, he enjoys how Edward doesnt want him to change for the better, and I dont think Harvey could say the same.
In short.. I cant help but feel Harvey and Harv are.. too good for them?? From what Ive gathered, Twoface battles themes of duality, constantly trying to work for healing just to be torn down by something; externally or internally. While yes, theyre villian.. In my mind they both have good in their hearts,, just trampled by the world around them.
Edward and Jon? Theyre past that. We have been shown time and time again that rehabilitation is just not on the table for them anymore (and when it is.. it doesnt last long)
ofc I could be wrong Im not Twoface andy. shrugs.
In my interpretation, both Edward and Jonathan are tales of ego leading to self destruction (I will not scream about my scriddler rn youre safe from that). But I cant help but see either of the Harveys going "We are not safe in this situation, we need to leave."
Like, It feels like anything a pairing would build up for eachother would just be undone by another,, and I dont exactly find realistic that they would A. Improve as a relationship., or B. Stay together with that happening.. and I dont exactly enjoy that snf..
Maybe there could be a fluff au where edward and jonathan were a bit better?? But I cant see them all as a polyamorous relationship, or atleast a long lasting one. IDK MAYBE IM STUPID I COULD BE STUPID BUT idk.
Maybe something will click for me eventually, I have not fully given up on Twiddlecrow.. but I still just dont know. Something to play around with ig. Feel free to add your own thoughts,, Id like to hear. (Especially on the Harvs I could be the towns twoface moron rn)
