Making leicha (擂茶; pounded tea), a (usually) savory drink common in Hakka cuisine. Fresh tea leaves, shelled peanuts, sesame seeds, and roasted rice are ground together into a paste, to which water is added to make the drink. Recipes vary, and may include other ingredients such as mung bean, sprinkling an ingredient on top (like OP with the roasted rice), or adding ingredients in different orders, such as adding the shelled peanuts last and not grinding them as much so that there's some texture to the drink.
